  1. Dave, I use one hand all the time. What I do not do though is jump huge distances in a free fall mode. By this I mean depressing the levers on there own and not wrapping the rope over the top. I haven't had a problem so far and my wear on the unicender is holding up really well! Looking forward to seeing your new thread.
  2. My equestrian centre take as is.
  3. Dave, I use the unicender and I can't see why you would want to use it with a RW? Can't wait to see your findings and new thread.
  4. Lanyard is over the shoulder and clipped in to the RW or unicender, this self tends the device.
  5. Spike, I've had mine about the same time and I've just sent it back! Pains me cause I do like it but it just died. Don't know if it's the HT lead or the coil but I do know it's a good job it's on a lanyard or it would have hit the floor when I threw it up s tree!
  6. I didn't say I don't do it. It's just not recommended.
  7. Are you saying you want to go above your TIP? You can do it on say pollard regrowth by chocking the stem and clipping you're line in with a revolver. Your TIP is then above you again. This would be considerably safer than stropping into the stem, choking the stem with a sling and standing in the sling and advancing with alternate slings choked off. YOU SHOULD NOT CLIMB ABOVE YOUR ANCHOR POINT!
  8. No they are there! They are all over but they can cover a huge distance so you may not see them for weeks or months.
  9. Just got a phone call from a student doing a dissertation. Maybe you can help? Here's an e-mail i got from him. Hello, Following our conversation a moment ago: Dissertation Title: 'Industry perception and knowledge base of establishing tree pest and disease in Essex.' I am researching into a number of establishing pests and diseases, which have taken hold on UK shores and aim of highlighting how prepared the industry is for these new tree threats. I ask that you and your staff to fill out ONE of these online surveys: WORKER LEVEL Survey – for any tree worker who performs management, inspection or remedial work on trees (e.g. tree surgeons, consultants, park workers etc) https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/T9H8Y6D MANGERIAL LEVEL Survey - for anyone who is involved in the management of workforces who undertake the above tasks. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PMFQ23L Please complete as soon as you can and pass these links onto your relevant staff. LINKS WILL CLOSE on 28th February. I do appreciate that computer survey may not fit into your usual work situation. The surveys can be completed via mobile, or if requested paper copies can be sent (with postage paid). Please reply and state numbers required. Many Thanks, Gordon Stuart (Writtle College
  10. Baggy also makes kuskas. Very nice!
  11. So I guess I am right to stick with the unicender then!?
  12. Unicender doesn't side load. Maybe a shorter tether for the LJ?

What's the difference with the 562 & 560, are they not the same CC? I want a 560 but I also want the new topper!!

Are you all using the standard pitch or have you changed to 3/8? Is it easy to change and what's the cost?
  15. If you use the Oregon bar remember its 115 drive links! Most standard loops are 114. I speak from experience, it will fit but is less than ideal.
  16. I run my 395 with a 36" bar and it's awsome!
  17. Only the large DMM has the extra hole in the block. They are expensive! I would like the small one to have the hole. Horses for courses, if your not paying get the DMM!
  18. Poison ivy is much more bouncy than Tachyon.
  19. Dynaline max is even better! http://www.marlowropes.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=194&Itemid=172
  20. The pruner head could do with a wider mouth, made sense to me to buy an extra pole and saw etc as I already had the big shot!
  21. You need an adaptor head and I don't know if it takes a silky, the Jameson one is fine.
