  1. I used to back it up with a prusik but I don't bother now.
  2. That would work but it's a waste of a capstan when a fig 8 works just as well. Whopie slings good, must get round to ordering some more gear to make one up!
  3. Drew, not a fan of the knotted line, just think it might get caught up? I use this.
  4. Once you tune in its brilliant.! Congratulations on your transition to SRT! For me there is no going back ever!!
  5. When you open the page click share, a drop down box gives you the option of word, PDF or pages. Dependent on the content click which one you want. If you click word some of the format may be changed. If you click PDF it should be fine.
  6. Driven these loads. They are very capable once drove one down some very large extended steps about 18" high but about 6ft wide and obviously very steep. Once I got to the bottom I turned it around put it into 2nd gear low box and engaged the diff locks which you can do on the move. I then drove back up them. They are very capable and good fun. The new MoD ones have an auto gear box which is pants!
  7. What do you mean by backup? Do you mean in a Irrata rope access sense?
  8. Make one, wood or metal!
  9. Not sure about the LOLER though, I will ask.
  10. When I first got my unicender I also got a croll and chest strap. I thought it would give me an advantage and also Lets me upright. The disadvantage I find when I unclipped the croll to work it sometimes became go tight and would pull on the shoulders and neck. I also tried the croll free floating With the pantin on the other foot. The system I prefer and use is- ISC hand ascender with a foot loop with a revolver, unicender no bridge, lanyard over the shoulder to unicender, finally pantin on right foot. There are lots of combinations!
  11. The bottom line with this course is all your conclusions will lead you to get a professional in. Don't do it, as said swat up and do the PTI.
  12. Wast of time! Learnt more about tree inspections on my RFS.
  13. I don't bother with a retrievable redirect. With SRT I don't find it a problem going back up to get it!
  14. I feel for you Stephen, cried like a baby when my last one went! Hope you have some good memories!
  15. Yeah, I ringed it up as requested leaving the smaller section until somewhere was found for the fire wood! The client originally had storage but that seems to have fallen through!
  16. Like this at the moment! Check out this video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYEbFaFsEjk&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  17. That could Also be separation anxiety.
  18. If you store your gear in a water tight and airtight container it will go mouldy. As said you would be better off sorting the container!
  19. Stephen, the pointers a good age and it sounds like it's had a good life. I lost my wire hair last year, went into the vets for a simple thing and wasn't happy to hear the outcome. A tumour or growth the the stomach, possibly thousands of pounds worth of treatment with no certain out come. She was putting Muntjac out of bramble the same morning! I made the decision to put her down, a very hard decision but I value the welfare of my dogs more than my own and I think in this situation selfish feelings. After all I might feel better giving her the treatment but would it actually make the dog feel better? It's a decision only you can make but I always say when the dogs quality of life suffers its probably time. Good luck
