    Go Jack Marshall!!
  7. The ISC hand ascender has a cam lock so it can not come of the rope.
  8. climb up to the fork, push away from the fork and stand on the pantin to gain height, if you have the LOTS it will self advance your hitch if not tend it past the fork. I find it handy to stand in the fork as I go above.
  9. Yes please! Interesting piece. How did you make sure the walls had the same diameter?
  10. Very good stuff!
  11. What's the tape sling set up for the tether? Did you make it yourself?
  12. I think D is experimenting with the set up to monitor wear? Do you need it! I think not. The Unicender works just fine for me! Tried the Unicender in Ddrt the other day to access a large Ash as my throw bag had got stuck! It worked quite well self tending etc but it's much better for SRT.
  13. Nice, is the OP easy to splice? What's the length of the tether?
  14. Good point Steve but we don't know why it was taken down and only have a tiny pic on my Aye phone.
  15. Hornbeam.
  16. B&Q do them.
  17. I might be intrested.
  18. You can splice it but it's not a pretty splice, check out New England's splice guide.
  19. No, just had a look and it's Aramid ice. [/img]
  20. Drew is that the cord that comes with an inner core? If it is I got some from Sherrills and yes it does look shagged after the first use!
  21. Ben, I know a man thats just done a course nearby, I will get back to you.
  22. When you say smaller gob do you mean a deeper or shallower cut? If the faces met sooner it would put pressure on the hinge which as we have seen in this case too thin and gave way before an adequate moment was created in the desired direction.
  23. Been using static line for about 18 months now.
  24. :thumbup:If you get a chance try the Unicender, you might be pleasantly surprised!
