  1. to hell with axe men. I'm goinfg to write to bbc and ask if they will do documentary on tree surgeons/ climbers. Large tree removals etc...far better action.
  2. I went up to look at the trees. there is no Marks from strimmers at base of trees. all 3 of them have lost almost all there leaves and have large amount of dead branches on them. there was heavy machinery on site...but as far as i was told they were working a good distance from them. The are near other pines that seem perfectly healthy. the ground seems to have good source of water. I have a branch i have been meaning to take pic of and put up here. But so Busy i have had no time. Martyn
  3. great news! think thats the ones i have on my harness. Bollocks.!
  4. incredible. Work of art!
  5. whats the problem. If you are spending 800 on a job and charging 1000 then you are under pricing the job. if i was going to spend 800 on a job i would be after over 2000. Also spending a lot on turnover is fine if you are wanting to grow your business.
  6. I swear by kettlebells. But its how you use them that matters. Can gain strength or cardio.

  12. yeah i would like to get them. On your website it says 210. (each) I hope that doesn't mean per boot?! I also not sure what size i am...either 10/10.5./11 uk. ..If they don't fit can i send them back and get another pair.?
  13. Bust my knee last week. Need climber to help me this week. Tue, wed, thur and possibly Fri. Must have own P.P.E, Climbing gear and driving licence. Martyn 07872.147.453
  14. Yeah i agree tree work keeps you stronger than the average bloke. But the average bloke who does not work hard pprob has better joints. What i was getting at ..is tree work has so much ware and tear on you joints that your skelaton becomes old before its time.
  15. Dam thats low wages. On kidding though. To hell with UFC.
  16. Its possible. But i do notice after a days climbing my left knee feels worse. I use squats and stretching etc as therapy after a days climbing to heal my legs..and the feel fine after that. Pretty sure its the spiking. prob due to tight hip flexors.
  17. nice vid! It makes me want to go out and do removal....and its the weekend! LOL
  18. does it? I think if you work as climber the chances of you getting fat are slim..and you get muscle work out..but i think tree work damages the skelatol frame. Best exercise for tree work has to be stretching..how many tree workers do you know who have the monkey walk? You know the but you arms swaying walk. This is due to tight hip flexors and hamstrings...from spiking and harness that don't fit correctly. climbing everyday like this over years causes sevwer damage..due to the skelaton having taking the load because the muscles are very tight and weak in areas. I am writing this as i need to go get therapy done for my left knee due to over climbing. I have been climbing for only 9 years. anyone else have severe symptoms from climbing.?
  19. what you climbing on now? I have had stiens that were ok..lasted a year ..
  20. ha,ha ... had me searching the net for stretch air boots.
  21. Pics of stretch air chainsaw boots? where can i buy them?
  22. strech air have boots!! sounds to good to be true.
  23. steins worn out after 1 year. toe sticking out .lol. Any reccomendations for new boots out? cheers
