  5. Looking into getting a canter myself. 3.5t Though. Dam expensive new..but i reckon there worth it.
  6. thanks or all the replys. I phoned mercedes yesterday and the going to give me quote for medium wheel base with single cab with tool box on back and chip box fitted. Going to be expensive...but i want a van that won't break down all the time. That looks good fo costumers and i can spend money on sign writing it. My Ldv cost me just under £4000 when i got it about 18 months ago. in that time it has cost me about £3500 with all repairs added up! that means £7500. anyone want to buy and LDV for £1200. 60,000 on clock . and full service history?

  14. I am based i Glasgow. that any use?
  15. the prob is that lots of compnays have unimogs and stuff on finance..and need to make there high monthly bills. I look to make couple hundred a day ..sometimes i make 100. sometimes i make a loss. ..but if you got the work why price to get it..price what you think its worth to you.
  16. Yeah thats what i am after if all goes to plan. if i price a job and the expensies are 2000. then i want to make just under 4000. we ain't cutting grass! tree work is skillfull.
  17. Something i struggle with is pricing. Ok For example if your expensies for a job are 200 for a day..then you are not going to be after 100 profit. around 350 profit is better i thinks! If you your expensies for big 3 day job are going to be 3000...then you are going to be wanting more profit than usuall. prob around .2000. I price day all small one day jobs on day rate, but bigger ones where i have to empty my account and wait 2 months for payment...i want to make it worthwhile. Is this the correct way to price? does anyone have a pricing system they use?
  18. cheers mate. yeah don't you love paperwork.

  21. used to work with a tree surgeon. His quote for pruning was ...'If its in your way cut it off ' Sure wasn't the best best arborist i have ever worked with.
  22. I was busy for a while..now nothing at all . just making my weekly minimum at present. ( though i do have low overheads ) Going to start praying for storms this winter. :001_smile:
