  3. I'm from a farming back ground and always loved playing with machinery, that and having every single holiday as a kid in the New Forest got me intrested in Trees. Soon as I left school I went to work for the local council and havent looked back since, now in my twentieth year working on or with trees.

  7. Arboriculture and Bats: a Guide for Practitioners, I went on this course about 3 weeks ago. Must say I found it enjoyable and informative, it certainly opened my eyes as to where bats roost.
  8. In the third picture down, the one with your fingers at the bottom. The small pellet like stuff at the base of the hole looks like Bat droppings. It’s not a good idea to go disturbing them. Have a look on the Bat Conservation Trust website.

  16. My father had a heart attack about 2 weeks ago (gave us all a scare) he had smoked since he was 10, he's just turned 65. He's not tuched his pipe since coming out of hospital, which we're all really pleased about. I now how hard it has been for him, but when the doctor tells you the reason for the heart attack was because he smoked, makes me glad I have never smoked myself.

  20. I have been a First Aider at work for at least 10 years now, Once you've pasted its only retraining every 3 years. As John says it good practice to have at least one qualified first aider on site these days, and Preferably not the one up the tree.
  21. I tend to buy Merrell's so not sure if you'd class them as trainers or walking shoes But I normally pay between £60 and £80.
