  1. Another good tip that I shall take onboard, thanks Monkeyd.
  2. The climber did try to fracture some of the smaller branches, but found that because they were dead they snapped of square (if you get what I mean) not leaving anything worth while. I'm sure it works much better on live wood.
  3. Not at all gibbon, I knew what you were getting at.
  4. The bat hole idea was discussed but was thought unnecessary due to the amount of cavities already present in the tree.
  5. If I follow the yellow brick road won't I have to keep an eye out for flying monkeys!! lol. Rest assured the tree will be monitored and if need be reduced again.
  6. Thanks you for your comments gibbon, I shall take onboard your comments for next time. It is the first time that the contractor involved has carried out this type of work for me, and I must say I and very pleased by the end result.
  7. Thank you very much for your kind comments Monkeyd, I have been a follower of your work for sometime now. The tree is included within my annual inspection programme.
  8. I would like your comments on the work carried out on the Oak tree below. The reason for the work was to reduce the amount of dead wood in the crown due to the tree being in close proximity to a busy dual carriageway. Also to maximise the trees usefulness for wildlife by the use of coronet cuts. I have attached before and after photos, and photos of the coronet cuts.

Thinking about getting a new phone, nothing to flash. The LG Coookie has caught my eye, has anyone got one? What do you think about them? Currently have a Nokia 6300.
  25. Top job, I wish some of my contractors could turn work out like that.
