    How about a petzl sequoia swing, it has a sliding bridge that take the attachment point away from the waist band. They also do it in two sizes.

    I have to agree with Reg, if they were students lent hope they were being shown what can happen if you don't get the balance right on a branch. Massive tree and one hell of a crane

    Just stick with it, it took me years to get my confidence up. Look at the SWL on your kit and keep reminding yourself that you don't weight anywhere near that.

    In Twenty plus years of dealing with trees, I've only ever seen one tree blown over in high winds. It was a 60ft Horse Chestnut and was marked for removal due to bleeding canker. When it happened it was like watching in slow motion, it made one hell of a noise creaking and groaning at it went.

    I think the Bridgedale socks are good, however some of them have a seem that goes over the top of my toes that rubs and is uncomfortable.

    I’ve had a saw kickback on me once it scared the poo out of me, and all that happen was it knocked my helmet of my head. All I would say is please take more care in future and I hope it doesn’t scar to badly.
