  1. Kira is getting bigger. We are up at a cabin in the mountains. She is proper tired after bounding around in the snow. 4 foot at least up here. She is light enough to not punch through but it is hard work for human. At least bollock deep powder.
  2. One of my old man’s friends breeds Newfie’s. Great dogs. The litters look like a bunch of baby bears.
  3. Most threads on here recently, start mild mannered. After a few comments it is like monkey’s sticking their fingers up their own bums and flicking poo at each other. Each proclaiming that their poo is the best and that they know best.
  4. What do you actually do for a living? Apart from taking umbridge and arguing with strangers on an Arb Forum?
  5. A job the other day to remove a tall spruce and a number of tall skinny alder and aspen. lovely day for it and a nice view of the fjord.
  6. Sure, I get that. I would definitely put the area up. BUT, within 30seconds, I had worked out the company was based in South West London or thereabouts.
  7. Or maybe they are looking for someone with initiative, who can think for themselves? Google the domain name and if they have a website, all will be revealed. it is like the opposite of when you see a great advert for a good company offering great money. It usually says text or email on … Guaranteed, with the first couple of posts someone will be reply saying, I’m interested, call me 07896 xxxxxx. That right there is a fail. You have already shown that you cannot read or follow instruction. Two things that can be fairly useful in most jobs.
  8. Feel free to apply then Barney.
  9. It is nice to not have to work flat out in winter, here in Norway. A couple of days a week keeps the cogs turning. Having days off here and there mean you can enjoy life a bit more. Snowboarding going for family walks and staying in cabins etc. It can be hard work in the body climbing in Snow and minus temps doing full weeks. Might as well try and enjoy the same thing that can cause misery.
  10. Neck day. IMG_6471.MOV
  11. How many surrealists does it take to change a light bulb? 3. 1 to hold the ladder, 1 to change the lightbulb and the last one to fly the leather Helicopter.
  12. I would suggest to the missus that if she wants to wear the trousers she goes out and uses them and gets paid for it. 🤪 On a serious note, they are rubbish. Pointless IMO as they won’t protect you from cuts at the bottom of the kit bag. Save your money and buy your missus something nice. More importantly, don’t cut near your forearms.
  13. I must admit I am not up in current UK news but I remember a few cases like this in the past. One was a child when I was at Uni, the police searched every single house in the area. We had a boarded up open fire place and they even removed the boarding to check. Turns out she had been abducted by a trusted family member and abused and then thrown / drowned in the River Dee. Point is, the person who raises the alarm or is the concerned family member appealing on national tv to the public, has been the guilty party.
  14. Bear in mind the mention of the work would stop 30 from traffic lights. That may need to be taking into account and a 3 way light set up, depending on traffic volumes.
  15. Even spiking up a stem there are small swirls of spikes. I always seems to clip my knuckles as I am flipping up.
  16. Isn’t that Khriss?
  17. Ive had a Swazi workwear Karona for a few years now. I have reproofed it once and it is still going strong.
  18. Very cool tribute.
  19. Haha. I think you must have had a different edit of the Lion King than I had. In the version I had it briefly went to a cut scene and Raefiki was wearing a down jacket, Fjellraven pants and in a farmers field in Norway. Then it cut back to the cave and with Simba facing the crowd.
  20. Anyone seen Lion King? I posed like this with both my boys when they were born. Seemed appropriate to have the little girl in on the action. “Simba, is alive!”
  21. I have chatted to Jed for years as a member of the treehouse forum. He was very humble, modest and encouraging of others. He was also a sponsored skater back in the 90’s. A legend in skating as well as a very accomplished tree man. RIP Jed.
  22. Haha, I can’t remember if we posed for lunges with Moby Dick. It might have happened though.
  23. I have an underfloor cable in the garage to heat it. TBH I haven’t turned it on since we had it built. Electricity has been pretty expensive as it is. Hearing a 50sq m slab of concrete isn’t high on the list of priorities. Getting the kids to turn lights off and my tennant to not have the heating up full blast and all the windows open, has kind of ruined the electricity bill numbers.
