  1. 28 years old and with experience. What’s keeping you in the UK? Go travelling, go somewhere the industry pays better. See the world, have fun and save up whilst having fun. Use the experience and extra money to further your position in life. Good luck.
  2. I had extreme nerve damage in 3 finger in my right hand after I severed them. The first year was pretty painful. Anything touching the scars felt like and electric shock. I tried to get used to it by pushing through the discomfort and rubbing my hands on different textures to reduce sensitivity. It still hurts to this day and that will be three years in April since the mishap.
  3. ^^^ Pretty much what I said in not so many words.
  4. I was always under the impression that one side would be keen as you like and the other less sharp with a less acute angle. One side for clean wood and the other for not so clean wood.
  5. I saw this earlier today. A friend in London sent it to me. Cracked me right up. Dizzle Banter (@dizzlecomedian) • Instagram reel WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM 5,748 likes, 682 comments - dizzlecomedian on January 25, 2024: "Call who tho ?"
  6. TBH, when Insoaked it in Coca Cola over night and wire brushed it the day after. The results were pretty good.
  7. Elwell 4.5lb feeling axe that belonged to my grandfather. I have recon’d it a couple of times now. Last time I didn’t sand the handle that much. Coca Cola is great for soaking the heads and a wire brush to bring out the patina.
  8. Wasn’t it Mendi p logs?
  9. Quite a few years ago now. Used them quite a lot up the tree. Sometimes if you need one it is nice to use. Heavy as hell but wanted to get the job done in this London Plane and Oak in the other picture. Hard timber and would have been a pain in the buttski with a 660. 48” bar was needed on that tree. Started smaller but it was easier to go large, we changed it up that day for the larger bar to make the cuts in one go.
  10. What breed is she?
  11. They are a lot of dog. A dog that needs a job. A friend has one for home and family protection. I followed their training from the kennels on Instagram. A lot of time and effort needed to tame a Maligator.
  12. Gmail is a web based mail system. You just need Internet access or a smart phone with connectivity. Gmail has nothing to do with you old Virgin account. Virgin just might be one of the ways you would use to connect to the Internet.
  13. Or as the case may be for theOak tree round the corner from mine. Tree owner get a quote for the removal of fallen tree. Insurance covers costs and the guy then gets an old man from round the corner to do it for the wood and the tree owner is in the money as they keep the insurance money. The. Easy thing about that job was the tree had gone and the insurance company was calling up to try and get cheaper prices from the farmer up the road, yet the tree had been done at least a week before.
  14. The bow wave created by the correct speed actually lowers the water level at the front of the car. If you get too close to the bow wave it can come over the bonnet and flood the engine bay.
  15. My claim to fame was we did Texas in a day. High tailing it all the way with only one stop. TBF we were trying to get to Joshua Tree National park and Texas smelt of cow crap and oil. Austin is supposed to be awesome though.
  16. What happened to Wilders legs? Was he taking Ayahuasca instead of doing leg day? Man, a heavyweight boxer with broomsticks for legs.
  17. Were you on remand and this was some kind of alternative punishment? 6 times in one tour. I knew the Grateful Dead had that kind of fan culture following them venue to venue. Never realised the Quo had it aswell.
  18. The one way to confirm sweet chestnut timber is to smell it. It smells like ‘Tangy Tom’s’ or very cheap tomato sauce flavoured crisps. Unmistakable.
  19. Yes. I Concur.
  20. I wonder who the imposter sat on the sofa next to my son and dog is then? 🤪
