  1. I would suggest to the missus that if she wants to wear the trousers she goes out and uses them and gets paid for it. 🤪 On a serious note, they are rubbish. Pointless IMO as they won’t protect you from cuts at the bottom of the kit bag. Save your money and buy your missus something nice. More importantly, don’t cut near your forearms.
  2. I must admit I am not up in current UK news but I remember a few cases like this in the past. One was a child when I was at Uni, the police searched every single house in the area. We had a boarded up open fire place and they even removed the boarding to check. Turns out she had been abducted by a trusted family member and abused and then thrown / drowned in the River Dee. Point is, the person who raises the alarm or is the concerned family member appealing on national tv to the public, has been the guilty party.
  3. Bear in mind the mention of the work would stop 30 from traffic lights. That may need to be taking into account and a 3 way light set up, depending on traffic volumes.
  4. Even spiking up a stem there are small swirls of spikes. I always seems to clip my knuckles as I am flipping up.
  5. Isn’t that Khriss?
  6. Ive had a Swazi workwear Karona for a few years now. I have reproofed it once and it is still going strong.
  7. Very cool tribute.
  8. Haha. I think you must have had a different edit of the Lion King than I had. In the version I had it briefly went to a cut scene and Raefiki was wearing a down jacket, Fjellraven pants and in a farmers field in Norway. Then it cut back to the cave and with Simba facing the crowd.
  9. Anyone seen Lion King? I posed like this with both my boys when they were born. Seemed appropriate to have the little girl in on the action. “Simba, is alive!”
  10. I have chatted to Jed for years as a member of the treehouse forum. He was very humble, modest and encouraging of others. He was also a sponsored skater back in the 90’s. A legend in skating as well as a very accomplished tree man. RIP Jed.
  11. Haha, I can’t remember if we posed for lunges with Moby Dick. It might have happened though.
  12. I have an underfloor cable in the garage to heat it. TBH I haven’t turned it on since we had it built. Electricity has been pretty expensive as it is. Hearing a 50sq m slab of concrete isn’t high on the list of priorities. Getting the kids to turn lights off and my tennant to not have the heating up full blast and all the windows open, has kind of ruined the electricity bill numbers.
  13. Not sure mate. I have a Varmepumper in my house and an air circulatory system. That, along with the wood burning stove seems to do the trick.
  14. Actually, it is minus 10.5c according to the car. A bit fresher than I thought
  15. Minus 7c here this morning in Nesodden. Took the doggo for a short walk and it was crispy. Been like this for about a week now. To the west of Oslo, T my mates gaff a tree brought down some power lines during the week and he was cooking on the wood burning stove and using candles. - Cabin life! They has over a metre of wet snow fall in a few days and caused a bit of mayhem.
  16. Dealers? You getting your kit ready for Appleby?
  17. Just exposing the pup to different things. She seems very good in the cage during the day and at night. had a bit of an early finish yesterday so took her up the farm as were unpacking. Let her say hello to the tractors and chippers. I think the best bit for her was the run about on one of the fields in the snow. IMG_6318.MOV
  18. That seems a very tight eye? Are you sure the measurements where correct? If so, beat the shit out of it with a hammer and manipulate it. Tie is off to a solid anchor and shock load the shit out of it. Beat between each shock load.
  19. I heard a zeppelin bend was the best for this application but I could never remember how to tie it. I have used this method lots of times. You just have to plan a bit to make sure the connection knot is on the down leg as the knot can get stuck up there. Don’t ask how I know. I just used bowline to bowline with a long tail in each then did a knot type thingy with the tails as a stopper knot.
  20. Got to disagree with you there. I had Anschutz .22 and HMR. Identical guns, stocks Interchangeable. I always prefer end the HMR over the .22. Even though the .22 was accurate and cheaper ammo, I grabbed the HMR 9 times out of 10. I have arranged to import the HMR and left the .22 in the UK, for that reason. Anyone want an Anschutz .22? For sale with moderator and optics. Lovely gun just I am a leftie.
  21. That’s the plan. I am currently in the process of applying for export of my shotguns and firearms from the Uk. I had to do Hunting course and test here before I could apply with the police. That process took about 22 weeks for the application alone, UK is running about 6 weeks for export papers to be approved. So yes, I would like to work her when she is older.
  22. Matty, do you allowance for a .22? I have a nice Anschutz .22 rim fire. Great gun and very accurate. It’s at the RFD in Billingham. He is shipping the rest to me in Norway but I didn’t apply for that one as it is a Righthanded thumb stock and I’m a leftie.
  23. About the size of a decent Lab but a bit smaller than a German Shep, bit like a Husky on ‘roids. Something like this when fully grown. One of the oldest Scandinavian breeds but not many of them about. A friend has Kira’s aunti and a lady who lived over the back has a 7 yo bitch. They can be very calm and stoic in the home and not easily ruffled, yet great as a hunting dog. Hence the name, Jamthund or Swedish Moose dog. Not to be mistaken with the smaller Norwegian Moose Dog.
  24. As a breed they are renowned for being fearless, hence why they are used for hunting and guarding. We are just trying to make her feel settled and giving her space when she wants it. Must be a bit of trauma getting pulled away from mama and sisters like that. She has two older brothers now LOL. IMG_6285.MOV
