  1. Lovely walk in the woods this evening. Nice and cool after a long hot day. Saw a few Deer but no Moose.
  2. They say between 25 and 30 ish kg. Some are bigger though and heavy set with muscle. She is already pretty strong yet is pretty civilised on leash, unless we are walking in the woods and she get a strong scent. Pulled me over a couple of times, but it was icy and going downhill LOL. You we’re lucky with Bear, he looked a beaut. RIP Bear.
  3. Kira is getting bigger. Over 25 kg now and still got a bit to go I reckon as she is only 6 months. IMG_6974.mov
  4. Sorry to hear that.
  5. Perhaps a tree fell from the woodland onto someone's private property. They may have even had a car parked on their drive which was damaged. Not exactly an inconceivable scenario.
  6. Keep your fantasy's to yourself please Gareth. This is supposed to be a family forum
  7. Thanks David, I am keeping well mate, looking forward to the summer. Having searched the Latin I must say Google seems to agree with you. Cheers.
  8. I am aware this looks nothing like a Juniper but trust me, they were on dead branches from a Juniper and not the Rowan you see in the pics
  9. We were working in the woods last week. The woodland is predominantly Spruce and Scotts Pine with a fair few Birch and Hazel and the odd Juniper. There was a fair bit of rain on Tuesday which made all the colours stand out much brighter. One of the tracks back up the steep embankment I spotted this Jelly like fungi on a small Juniper. Once spotted it seemed to be on most of the Juniper in the woods. I looked it up and it seems to be Cedar Rust Fungi but none of the pictures seemed the same. This thing looked almost aquatic or Alien with the orange tendrils. Can any one confirm this ? @David Humphries
  10. I was walking my 6 months old pup the other day. Sometimes when she sees someone or something she just stops like that. She also does it quite a bit in the heat these last few weeks. At the weekend I took her for a walk in the morning, nice and cool in the woods and we were out for about an hour. One the way back we pass along the coast and a few swimming places. So she is tired from the heat and walk and then spots two women swimming in the sea. SO she sits down to watch. It was at that point I noticed that the two women were butt naked, skinny dipping. My dog just didn't want to leave and the ladies were laughing but at the same time wanted to get out as the water isn't quite up to decent temps yet. I ended up having to pretty much drag her away so as not to look like too much of a pervert.
  11. Randomly ? 🤪
  12. Very hot here at the moment for a double coated Spitz dog. Changing tha habits bit to try and get her to chill during the day. Walking in the morning before it gets too hot, and again I. The evening for a longer walk in the shade of the woods. Ball watching. IMG_6889.mov
  13. How is she doing?
  14. Possibley, they look terrible IMO. Like a pair of shit catchers worn by chavs and rude boys.
  15. No need to apologise mate but thanks anyway. My dads last Spaniel was a sprocker. He was such a great dog, when my dad got ill and was having trouble getting out, he gave the dog to one of his mates who used to run a pheasant shoot. Rocco was very familiar with the guy as he used to go there and board when my dad went away to visit people. shame really as I would have loved to have brought him over to Norway, but then again not a shame as he is working and running with other dogs daily. It was definitely the best thing for Rocco. good luck with the search and make sure you get plenty of pics up when you get hold of one. 🙏🏼
  16. Thanks. I would mate but unfortunately he passed a couple of years ago. A true working line, properly trained though is a pleasure to be around and watch work. I think he paid a bit more than usually as they were already trained to the gun when he got them. Good look with the search. Spaniels are awesome dogs, if a bit batshit bonkers.
  17. I paid 18000 Nok for a purebred Jämthund in January this year. Not sure how much my old man paid for his working line spaniels. They were worth every penny though. Amazing dogs. Here is Kira, she was 6 months old on the 12th.
  18. Cannot help with your question but glad your ok Joe? Much damage?
  19. I tried NFU for a number of vehicles when I lived in London. Always, I was told they wouldn’t cover me. As Swinny mentioned they once asked if either of my parents were farmers or had cover with NFU. It was always expensive for me despite the full no claims and zero points. The problem I had, was my registered address was in Lewisham 😂

maybe they should put a sign up saying don't put poop bags in green wast but normal waste is ok?

I don’t get it. What would you prefer? Dog shit on the floor outside your house or dog shit in a bag in your bin? I live in an area where there are many dog walkers and they walk across my front garden. As long as they bag it, put it in the bin, it isn’t the end of the world.
