Hi John, I was driving so may have been in a dodgy area. What I was trying to say was did you get it all done? obviously you did. We had trouble getting the last tree done due to guys having to leave site, getting logs away or chippings. As Jake didnt have his ticket I thought it best to get the dismantle done as it was handling a big saw in tree where as the repollard, at a push, could be done with a hand saw. Plus the road was a bit of a nightmare with traffic and needing people on the deck to stop motors was a bit difficult when they were not on site. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks for being so prompt with invoice.

2. I once blew an engine in the fast lane of the m1. Managed to try and limp to the hard shoulder but it was next to an on slip road. I had to stop at the end of the checker area with cars joining the carriageway a couple of feet from the passenger side and about the same to the slow lane of m1. Lashing with rain and about 11pm. Bobby pulls up behind after a while and I wind down th window and he said the same bloody line. Joker!
3. Cool, let us know how you get on with them.
4. I never had Crodas but the Crestas are holding up very well for me. I got them in September last year and they barely look worn in. I do wear my Airstreams for dismantles though.
5. I got some Aku' Cresta for around 145 quid. Those boots look comfy mate, but I feel time will tell as to how long they hold up for tree climbing.
6. Freehand. I think freehand is easier to copy the look, shape, angle and depth of the cutter. It does surprise me the number of people who cannot sharpen properly. They cannot see the difference between the angles and depths they are sharpening when it is usually marked on the cutter itself. (Depending on chain type)
7. You could always use a spell checker mate if your that worried.
8. I run General grabber at on my Nav. The new pattern, good on road, quiet and have hardly noticed a drop in mpg. When I have had to pull trucks and chippers out of the sticky never had any problems off road with them. Probably done about 23 k miles on them and there is still plenty of tread left.
9. Happy birthday mate. You will need another eye test now your getting on a bit. That dinner, healthy though it may be, didn't look appetising.
10. Which Akus did you get mate?
11. Shouldn't really need to take a file to what should be a tried and tested piece of kit IMO.
12. Nicely done John.
13. A little vid I did a few years ago. Taken Nr Tunbridge, Kent. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7-Df23TkPE]a vue from the top.mp4 - YouTube[/ame]
14. Whe I was about 18 years old a college friend of mine was sent down for the above. Another guy owed him money and he saw him in the local town, so to scare him up a bit he mounted the curb with no intention of doing any damage. The other lad dived into a garden and reported it to the police. My friend ended up in court and a prison sentence for the above.
15. My first gaffer told me if ever I had to stand in the road to halt, slow or stop traffic, best do it with a chainsaw in hand. Point the bar towards the traffic. People will happily drive around a person if they can but if there is a chance of scratching their car they usually think twice about it. I appreciate that the stop go board scenario would be difficult to have a saw in hand aswell.
16. You will wait all that time just to save a few quid. By the time you get them the MkII will be out.
17. I got a text from one of the other parents at school at the weekend sayin he had just squirted tea out of his nose... My oldest who is 5, was at a friends playing and the other parent overheard Haakon (my boy) tellin the other boy if you drink Fresh orange after caviar it tastes all yucky!. FTR he was referring to cheapo Norwegian cod roe in a tube you have on toast usually at breaky time.
18. Cheers, that was 11 years ago... haha. I am a fatty now in comparison. The guy Nungubon was fighting in the earlier clip was Saenchai, found this pretty cool doc about him. Orono used to pop into our camp from time to time as he was a great friend of Nungubon. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TO0R_Z1lN_c&feature=player_embedded]The Gods Of Muay Thai Part 1: Sor. Kingstar Saenchai - YouTube[/ame] [ame] [/ame] Check the cart wheel kick Saenchai uses. He fought my mate Rob Storey a couple of years ago and started doing it during the fight. Rob is a proper joker so he did a cartwheel kick attempt back at him, it was priceless. Rob did get stopped with low kicks though!
19. i know what you mean Robert. A pic of me and Nungubon with his championship belts.
20. Keep forgetting about this thread. This is a fight for the Lumpini Title in 1999. The guy in the Blue shorts is Nungubon Sitlechai. I trained in NE Thailand with Nungubon in 2002. He was a star in his day and the guy he is fighting is considered one of the most well known fighters in Thailand these days. Hope you like it. 22. The Facebook link is in his signature mate. Enjoy the show.
23. Getting a bit heated in here, mind you don't get red noses.
24. Can you put them back mate? that wall is 'kin ugly..! Nice work, how long has it taken you then? You initially said 2 men 3 days...
