  1. Nice little vid David. Couple of questions, did the climber just SRT up and then be lowered on the f8 when done? Why not take up a climb line or RW it so the option to descend was there? What did you lower on a bina as opposed to a small pulley? Cheers.
  2. It has a special childproof lock on it. Find that and you'll be sorted.
  3. But the man in the same tree who did the frictionhitchery vids won it.
  4. It works sweet with SRT for access using a croll. Maybe because I did a few pines in Norway my hitch and RW became a bit sticky. Lately I have been using a Lyon tape sling figure of 8'd and worn like a rucksack. Probably time for some new hitch cord. Haha.
  5. I hate LOTS. A picture of my neck elastic. Shamelessly ripped off from a photo from either here or Facebook. Sorry Drew if it was yours.
  6. I think they just say 'bro' a bit more...
  7. The UK Arb industry has the perfect platform to advertise... On here! The only thing I heard about the event was from Aaron MJ. Other than that not a bean. I obviously looked at social media sites etc for results and stuff. Surely better promotion and organisation would lead to a better turnout. A bit like the death of the celebration of trees. Perfect platform to get the word out there, a bit of foresight and that show would still be kicking it. Before anyone gets offended, I have no idea what it takes to organise such an event? Is it a volunteer basis? Fees for venue etc?
  8. Quite liked that. What are the working loads on your boys mini xrings?
  9. Pampas it is. Swingers are not as popular as in the eighties. My mate removed a huge one from the middle of his driveway. The neighbours came out and thanked god as people had been rustling in there for the previous 15 years.
  10. Just get some cougar blue mate. Low stretch, Stella compatible, great for SRT and the other type (I forget the name), developed down under by VB drinkers.
  11. I know mate, that tea was a nice gesture but I went to the show to get away from a 2 years old waking me at 6 in the morning. Only to have Bolam waking me at 7 in the morning. Albeit with a cup of tea, but he still bloody woke me up!
  12. Nice work Adam. I was proper knackered after the weekend. All I have wanted to do is sleep since I got back.
  13. I'd be interested in trying the X rings when they become available. They look an excellent product.
  14. Haha Mark. Here is a before shot. And after from similar angle
  15. Oak RJ from today. Bit of a tricky one. Lots of bendy poles and almost half the canopy over a fragile roof. Originally the client wanted it cut back completely off building but that would have needed to remove at least 50% or the canopy. They may aswell have felled it. Client decided to go for a total reductions instead. 2 climbers in tree and we removed about 2 metres of the top and sides. Quite a bit of fiddly rigging involved over the roof but all done and nothing broken.
  16. Worked for me last night Tom. Not today though. Says blocked due to copyright issues.

I work for the same company. I came back to the Uk last Friday. Ian had said you were coming out. How long you there? I go back at the beginning of June.
  18. There We Are Then! How to win friends and influence people by ........ I would put a name on the dots but he is hiding behind anonymity.

Nice work mate, you looking forward to Norway?
  20. What hitch are you using or you using a mechanical device? Sometimes tieing a hitch slightly differently can reduce the hockling.
  21. Right, I was at the airport when I replied earlier. The Cougar Blue is a great rope IMO. Most of the guys I know climb purely SRT on it. Feels good in hand and as there is very little stretch it is great on a long haul. I use mine with a RW and HC combo and suitable hitch. It is also great to climb on with a free flowing VT and rope guide. Not sure where you will be able to get hold of it but ask around. I love mine.
  22. Just buy a load of 19mm tenex. The make them to your own specs with locking Brummell splice.
  23. Some cracking elbows from Buakow [ame] [/ame]
  24. WOW, really! I bet you are a popular chap. Arses are for sitting on mate, not kissing!
