  1. Euhh!!!! Handbags!!!!!!!!!!! The point I was trying to make was that the most unexpected things can have untold promise. Dr Flemming had the advantage of being able to use a petri dish, bit hard to get a mature HC into the lab. I agree that there is a real chance this is a load of mumbo jumbo, BUT lets wait and see and hope for the best, I guess I'm just a glass half full kind of guy. PS, top come back Tim you must be SO proud
  2. Hi Dave Can't answer your question, but threads that get no replays always make me sad Soooooooooooooooooo I just wanted to put a reply
  3. Nice pic David.................could just do with that conifer felling, it sticks out like a sore thumb.
  4. And there was that muppet who thought some mold could be of some medical use, what a fool, I think he was called Flemming.
  5. You need to look at the date on the thread mate.
  6. Same here Stevie, I learned to spike on a dead Elm, I love em!! I used to work with a lad who hated them, he would swear he could hear them cracking, I got loads that he either past on to me or got me in to dismantle. I learned to cut and chuck every thing from working alone in the early days.
  7. My argument is, if its too small to take my weight its small enough to cut and chuck, if its to heavy to cut and chuck it will take my weight so get higher. Only my way not saying others should do it Steve put it better than me whilst I was typing
  8. Er...............IF he leaves his job.
  9. It happens surprisingly often mate, normally the new tree in the top is only small as there is often not much soil.
  10. I can't believe people would actually be prepared to pull lumps of with a vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would just go high and cut small.
  11. Do you have a life????????????????????
  12. Why did you refuse to do it 7 years ago, but will do it now??
  13. I have always just cut and chucked dead Elms, but then I cut and chuck every thing. I have always found them very, very strong.
  14. To be honest I don't see what wrong with it?? The guy has some timber he wants shut of and is happy for someone to take it. When I was a lad my dad connected loads of extension leads together and felled and cut up a tree two Fields away must have been getting on for 1000 yards.
  15. I reckon you probably charge twice what I do Mick, so your time and a half is probably top dollar any way!!
  16. Yes its a real pic :001_smile:

  17. Always charge and pay double for Sundays, don't do many, only council road side jobs. They are always happy to pay double. BUT Mick this is a "bank holiday Sunday" so should be quadruple time!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Bird nesting, thats when she brings round most of her clothes and starts staying week night as well as weekend.
  19. I HATE ladders!!!!!!!!! Never use them for tree work!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Very honest of you to admit you have small wood!!!! I guess thats why you cropped it too a head shot, so we don't have to see the little chap!!!!
