  1. I'm not sure it will, the government set rates in the last recession, now its down to the Bank Of England, I think it will stay very low for a very long time (up to 10 years IMO) I think the next big danger is inflation, as we are printing money its very likely. But inflation is not ALL bad, it will eat into all the debt that built up.
  2. I don't wish to be rude but, IMO, what an appalling waist of tax payers money!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It should have just been felled and replaced. The other tree would not thank you, now they are being damaged.
  3. I think in real terms things are better now than last year when diesel was touching £1.30L. For the people who have not been doing stupid borrowing and have not lost their jobs, things are not that bad. In the last recession interest rates were the killer and every almost every one was affected.

  7. I think its a bit like when it snows in London, BIG new, even if its not snowing any where else. This down turn has really hit the big boys, bankers etc, so its big news, I thought that things had gone quieter than normal over the winter, but in reality I'm not sure if it wasn't the normal seasonal slow. I have never run out of work and have lost a few jobs of late due to not getting to them in time, the phone has just run, it was a lady who's been waiting since November, wanting to know when I'm coming.
