  1. :confused1:Well then just leave a few inches on, if you want
  2. I think you have a point, but I don't think it would be very practical. Also it would work well on some trees such as beech, as most branches would die if cut short but on most species the branch would pollard and continue to grow.
  3. Until I started coming on here I never even gave sharpening my saw a second thought, its just like refueling in my eyes, I just don't see a problem.
  4. [quote=Big 'Ammer;124929 I find a new chain cuts way better once its been hand filed twice and the rakers re-profiled. : Totally agree, chains are sharper once resharpened, (by hand) than when new.

  9. For the life of the chain? or per sharpening?
  10. To be honest if you put the practice in you should be able to sharpen a 25' 066 in well under 5 minuets.
  11. Transit would a large fishing reel not be sufficient :001_tongue:
  12. I never talk about other contractors when quoting, reputable or not, my work stands alone and I don't feel the need to put others down in an effort to lift myself up.
  13. Who would you get in to do the cut mate? .:001_tongue:
  14. Don't lose any sleep over it Dean, there will be no come back to you mate, IMO. My dad had a similar thing with a motor he had scrapped. He rang them and told them never heard any more after that.
