    bats in trees

I work with a licensed bat handler on a regular basis, I really enjoy the work. I have yet to find a bat in a tree though. Only ever found them when checking bat boxes. What training have you done Rod? I had a look at the info re the AA course and felt it was a waste of time too be honest, I learnt more on my first day with "Bat man". I would like, in time, to get more into bat work, the best way to do this, IMHO, is too join a bat group and volunteer for a few years and take it from there.
  11. :blushing:It would appear our "conspiracy" theory was incorrect :blushing:
  12. Ah!!! Sorry I had searched for it on several occasions and was unable to find it, I clearly need to alter the search parameters next time. Many thanks
  13. Andy is there a reason that some threads, such as my thread on butchery, have been deleted? I am not aware that that thread breached any rules.I even cleared the topic of the thread with Steve before posting it. It seems a real shame when people take the time and effort to start a thread, with pic's, a poll, etc. Then when you try to find it again later its gone Makes me think twice about making the effort again.
  14. There are often many benefits, higher TIP, TIP in a better position for the task in hand, too name just two
  15. Very good point!! I stuck with lycetts, AKA algarve, for years, as although they were expensive I knew they were a good Co. I only changed to NFU because I know they are best Co I have ever dealt with, and saved a packet in the process.
  16. I just keep thinking how much more tiding up there will be.
  17. I remember the guy on gladiators, I was already a climber at the time, (clearly I am a little older than you). I remember he was doing the event with the big ball that swung from the ceiling, you had to climb round it and grab the flag before the gladiator caught you, he said it was just like climbing round a big Oak crown.
  18. I went for the alloy geckos for this very reason, you know where you are with alloy.
