    MEWP or Climb

I don't understand this The MEWP MUST have REDUCED the size of the drop zone, I really don't get how it would speed things up? You can spike to the top of a Lime in a couple of minuets.

    MEWP or Climb

I had to deal with a "dangerous" tree today, it had a flick knife and a real bad attitude, not sure a MEWP would have helped

    MEWP or Climb

Well I'm staggered:ohmy: I would not consider that tree to be in the least bit "dodgy", and I do not consider myself "stupid".

    MEWP or Climb

    I'm a climber, I climb. I'm not a MEWP operator, I don't operate MEWP's.
  8. £30 for my trainer. £150 for my books, hiax, worth every penny, IMO, I spend half my life in them and my feet are in great shape thanks to them!
  9. Yes, my mog has 4 valves, but 12 couplings
  10. I always thought they were referring to the "spool valves" that make up the "spool block".
  11. Who is at hight ALL the time They asked me how much of my time I was spent over 80' I said not more than 50%, as even on a very large take down or a day of dead wooding large trees I ain't gonna bet above 80' for more than half the time.

  16. I miss him He was a better class of obnoxious.
  17. Do you think the bigger boys are watching????
  18. No, I never got to his car, he offered me a Werther's, and asked I wanted to see some puppy's, but I just ran!!!!!!!!!
  19. My mog cost around 10% of my turn over per year to maintain. If I ran a 3.5 tonner, it would be much less, as would my turnover and thus my profit. As a result my family's standard of living would also fall
  20. I wonder what the depreciation is like on a MEWP?? If I sold my mog tomorrow I would get back what I paid for it 6 years ago
  21. "You can't teach an old dog" and all that mate
  22. At least my mog has never fallen over
  23. What back in the days of good money and a healthy profit
