  1. Well said We are here for a "good time" not a "long time". If it makes you happy and adds to your life great, if not pack it in
  2. I went kayaking today with some mates. One is a very wealthy guy would sold a business for many millions. Some years ago he was invited to Number 11 and met Osborn. He asked a very interesting question (IMO) what percentage of the population actually contribute more in tax than they get back in services? I'm pretty sure I've not come close to covering my families costs, 4 births, a baby in intensive care for over a week, a child with pneumonia, a couple of operations for me, etc, etc. Apparently only around 20% of income tax payers put more in than they take out. Obviously all of us who pay a decent chunk are helping to a point, but we really do need those big payers, lets not take them for granted.
  3. And not a fortune, a pretty sound investment I would have thought
  4. This is really cool If I had time on my hands I'd love to spruce it up and take it to shows, etc. RARE 50's VINTAGE/CLASSIC MORRIS MRA1 EX-ARMY 4x4 TRUCK/LORRY HOT/RAT ROD UNIMOG | eBay
  5. They were good saws when new, but an old saw is an old saw, IMO. You don't want to be sinking loads of cash into an old saw, IMO.
  6. Can the Labour supporters please tell why our country is rich? Corbyn thinks the rich are greedy tax doggers, he wants to squeeze them to make a more equatable society. Which on the surface sounds fine, but in reality the vast majority of tax is already payed by the wealthy. If we increase tax why would they stay? Since lowering the corporation tax rate, tax take has increased. Raising it simply makes working hard and making more profit less attractive. I just can't get my head round where the left think our wealth comes from Please tell me what I'm missing? I'm not being funny, I'm genuinely interested.
  7. My advice would be don't bother, the build quality is shocking, IMO:thumbdown:
  8. Sounds excellent!! I wish such purchases were still possible over hear, good for you!! Will you have any problems with planing if you use it as a yard?
  9. Glass houses?? Throwing stones???
  10. They are an utter disgrace. Its good to see their true colours, shows we made exactly the right decision. Our navy won't need to sink more than a couple of trawlers before they get the message.
  11. Should this not be in landscaping with the other "gardening" stuff??? .sorry
  12. I use mine for everything. I've not used a prussic for well over 5 years now. Mine is a mark 2, its been cracked for years, (my mark 1 was perfect, wish I'd kept it now) but its the last link and the crack has never changed. I will swap it for a mark 3 one day
  13. Can't say I've ever felt the need to clean mine.
  14. My point is that replacing them free of charge is problem as much if not more in the interests of Petzl as the interests of the owner.
  15. I'm pretty sure Petzls are keen to get every single cracked one back in their possession
  16. Theres no need for demolition, its "facelift" work thats led to the danger. The cladding needs replacing with the correct product/system. Sprinklers may need retrofitting, but these have been offered to tenants before, but they have been rejected by some. They don't want the disruption there fitting would require, plus they fear the damage they could do when somebody burns the toast or lights a fag. I guess the recent tragedy will have made most more favourable to there fitting.
  17. Their his kind of crowed, spaced out and away with the fairies.
  18. I feel confident she could have moved them at 10am today without risking her job. Could have parked a fire appliance and crew outside each block until to day, etc. It's all posturing and genuflection.
  19. Your children continue to be your children long after they are born
  20. Life has become a Pantomime! Evacuating families in the middle of the night, how ridiculous. Look at us!! Look at us!!! Doing the right thing
