  1. If you co-own your fine My father and bother are both joiners, they co-own all the tools in their workshop
  2. Although if you are only using it yourself it need only have the safety features required at the time of manufacture.
  3. Many, many years ago when fountain forestry first got some rail work they tried using hand saws for night work. Dropping 18" diameter sycamores with a bow saw was not much fun and not in the least productive. I did not enjoy that night shift. It was made even worse when I returned to the carpark to find my pick had been nicked
  4. The stone age did not come to an end because we ran out of stones.
  5. While I take your point, is this or most other dogs going get any action? Sure I want to keep my nuts, but I also expect to put them to good use on a very regular basis, not sure I be that bothered about keeping them if I was never going to get the chance to use them, would it not be pretty frustrating?
  6. Turnover is vanity, profit is reality.
  7. Some people are incredibly inconsiderate and actually get off on having the power to disrupt the lives of others, they clearly have very sad lives and this is the only way they can feel important. We had northwest power putting in a service to some newly built houses just down the lane from us, they thought it was perfectly acceptable to close the road for 5 days, with no notice and expect us to take a 30mile diversion and expected emergency vehicles to do the same. Some of the lads doing the work were really loving messing up peoples live.
  8. Quite a lot. All business differ, some lend themselves very easily to lone working, taxi driving, lawn mowing, etc, arb is not quite so easy to do alone, it can be done, but its not always a great idea.
  9. Yes, they were told to stay put. They were ringing 999 and being told to stay in their flat. The brigade had actually attended the flat fire, put it out and were returning to the station when they were called back to the fire on the outside of the building.
  10. Its now looking like the fire service cocked up, it took then half an hour to get a long ladder to Grenfell, apparently they may have got it under control had they got one there ASAP.
  11. Talks a lots of sense, pity he's not PM.
  12. You can't go very big on the linkage. I would have thought a Hiab 070 or 090, but on a sub frame.
  13. I think he just hires out loaders.

Looks like that black recycled plastic they make fences and picnic tables out of.
  15. I was working with my 75 year old dad for a couple of days last week, helping do some work in his garden. He has become pretty deaf recently and I got a bit irritated by him not being able to hear me ask him things. I asked why he did not put his hearing aids in? "well I keep nipping in the workshop to cut wood etc, so whats the point?" I shook my head, "put them in and wear ear muffs when you run the machines, if you had just done that for the last 50 years you wouldn't need the bloody hearing aids!!" I'm always wear muffs when using machines, I even used to use them when I had my U900 mog. I listen too radio4 with earbuds most of the time, which helps I think, because any noise would prevent me hearing the radio, so I put muffs on, even just on the forklift, digger or processor.
  16. People come, people go. Its been ever thus.
  17. WOW!! What is it? It don't look real. Were nice
  18. If you mean "would its own rear body", the answer is NO.
  19. I feel a song coming…………….
  20. Oh no!! I often keep my box full, it just results in a quieter life
