  1. Ouch, how did you do it? Did they offer to take it off to the wrist? I've heard that its supposed to improve your grip.
  2. Arn't all "good" climbers fast? You get "competent" climbers who are steady, but useful, but to be a "good" climber I think you need to be pretty quick, after all "time is money":001_smile:
  3. Would you have climbed it if asked to?
  4. Not had that day yet They can feel really, really odd.
  5. Their always stronger than they feel
  6. And matadores I hate those tossers!!
  7. Maybe, but getting someones attention and getting their money are very different things. There a companies that I actively avoid, because their advertising annoys me.
  8. Or maybe "The original and the best, don't buy the Forst copy you see, or you'll regret it."
  9. I think it would possibly enhance ones reputation
  10. If they did try to prosecute, the fact that the tree(s) was not worthy of a TPO would make their case pretty weak, I would have thought.
  11. Ah, yes but I did not spell that, I simply included and agreed with another post. Although spelt incorrectly, I knew which machine was being referred too.
  12. Really? which word is spelt incorrectly? My spelling is very poor, but spell check suggests that "thats" "the" and "truth" are all spelt correctly?
  13. We do lose some fabulous view to trees planted without much thought, IMO.
  14. Yes I had a golly wog and a full set of badges. I also recall my mother having some fabric dye that was labelled "nigger brown" different times.
  15. Well its what I was told as a boy, made sense to me, maybe I've been mislead??
  16. Ah!! I scrolled down and found the article. Actually a "nigger" was a sort of saw horse, used when processing fire wood, so the term refers to loosing the tool within the pile of logs. So not racist at all, I'm sure no one will want facts to get in the way of a good bit of hysteria and outrage.
  17. When I click on the link, all I get is a list of categories in blue.
  18. Nah, they know full well, but rely on the ignorance and compliance of the public and the toadying of many professionals:sneaky2:
  19. Or the planing department is trying to extend their powers, rather than do the required paper work Rather like one local to me, who put replanting conditions on un-apaused 211 notices and claim listed building status protects the trees within the garden of the listed house
  20. Technology should change the way we do things. I've had ride on mowers for the last 14 years, they are a real pain, they are noisy, heavy and expensive to run. Collecting the grass is a pain, if the weather is bad I get behind and the grass becomes long and the job more difficult and the resulting finish poorer. If the ground is wet and soft they damage it. They need servicing and always seem to have some fault or other. I've just installed an auto mower, its fantastic!!! It will cost a tiny amount to run, its light weight and silent, does no land damage, cuts the grass constantly producing no real clippings. Rather than a big heavy powerful thing hacking at thick heavy grass, this is a small gentle machine simply nibbling away at the grass.
