  1. They do around 6 mpg, I believe.
  2. Just buy Hiax, then you will never need to touch them.
  3. I charge around double for call outs.
  4. Got called out today at 4pm, small eucalyptus that I had already quoted to pollard, the owner thought it was going to blow over so we went and sorted it in the dark.
  5. Never sulk!!!! If your having to work late just get on and get it done, if its a problem raise it the following morning, when you and the boss are refreshed from a nights sleep. I used to have a lad who if the job ran over, his bottom lip would stick out and he would drag his feet, what would have taken an extra 30 minuets would end up taking and hour. The lad I have now just cracks on and we soon get done. If he needs to be home on time that day he will mention it in the morning so I know.
  6. I don't think weight will be much of a problem, that crane will weigh under a ton (IMO) and is mounted very close in, which really helps. Also much of the weight is over the cab and rear body, when its stored and the stabilizers will take the weight when its in use.
  7. Every body pays tax, every time you spend money you are in one way or another paying tax.
  8. Don't think so, if a fish breathes through its gills, the water in its gills is its breath.
  9. Gorgeous here all day, had to put some suncream on this afternoon, as I started to burn!!!!
  10. Is your yard next to a road?? There are different rules for fences and the like next to roads.
  11. I had an ex-national grid 130, which had been stretched when new, it was still a 110 on the log book.
  12. This is great news, Paul And I thank you for all your efforts!! BUT if no waste has been transfered, you won't need a WCL, surely??
  13. Threads like this always make me smile. There are always people who say things are way over priced and they could get one for half the price. These same people are always moaning about how tight their margins are in the business they are doing and how had it is to make money. So, why don't they just start buying all this gear they can get at bargain prices and sell them for the price evey one else is paying????????
  14. Totally agree!!! A 1970's tractor will cost more today than the day it was built. Steam engines have increased more in value over the last 30 years than property!!!!!!!!!

And what if he gets his saw stuck and only has one saw??
  18. Fair enough, if it makes you happy But we pay National Insurance, which are basically the premiums for an insurance policy. Many of the people who are claiming from this insurance have never paid any premiums. I have always paid my premiums and will claim if I am entitled.
  19. Mick in this country we pay in the region of 70% tax. I know income tax is only 20%, but there is then VAT, fuel duty, council tax and many others. So in reality we pay a great deal of tax, any means of recouping some of my hard earned money from the wasteful state, is something I will take full advantage of.
  20. So you have made arraignments for your retirement?????
  21. So you are not entitled Or you would not need to lie.
  22. When was that?? In the summer?? Pop is like blotting paper, unless its off the floor and under cover, it will be sucking up water like a sponge right now, IME.
