  1. Of course there are, but surly they are only believed by brain dead morons?? No???
  2. Well its being reported at such and her husband has posted to that effect on FB, do you know otherwise????????
  3. The current situation regarding Jacintha Barboza, is truly tragic and I really feel for her family, but it could not possibly have be anticipated. I personally found the prank very funny, Kate was not seriously ill, in fact a pregnancy is a happy situation, so I don't really see it as being in bad taste. I recently took a dying friend to hospital, I was the nearest thing he had to a next of kin, I had to give a password for when I called to see how he was doing, so the fact that this hospital was so lacks is more to blame than the DJ's, IMO. The tragic suicide of this poor nurse could not possibly of been foreseen and as even the Samaritans pointed out suicide is rarely caused by a single event. I think the DJ'S involved must be truly devastated and will be receiving more punishment than is needed from their own sense of regret. Should the police really be getting involved in this situation??? Seems like a massive over reaction.
  4. Exactly At the reply to the text, I would have politely told him I had to go
  5. So what do you use when climbing dead trees??????
  6. This is simply untrue. Many of our oldest trees are pollards. The demise of many of our oldest, largest trees is caused by them tearing themselves apart, due to the leverage of large limbs, removal of those limbs can on occasions extent a trees life.
  7. Bit early, your worse than the shops
  8. I hear you Rob, but in reality these sort of clients will never get the message and will just think its you who's in the wrong or get a kick out of knowing they have "got to you", always better to just let it go, IMHO.
  9. My word, if being asked if you "make a habit" of something you have openly admitted to, is taken by you as "an attack", you must have lived a some what blessed and sheltered life
  10. Very unprofessional, IMO, we are the professionals, not the clients. If the client is lying, are they likely to admit it due to that email?? I think not so whats the point?? If they are telling the truth, they are going to think you were trying it on with the ordinal quote, if your able to drop your price so easily, so will probably stick with the other quote (I would) So whats the point?? If I really felt the need to reply to such an email (which I'm pretty sure I would just ignore or simply thank them for letting me know) I would simply say I was sorry my quote was not of use to them and to please feel free to ask me to quote for future work and then just wish them well. When it comes to winning work, some you win some you don't, going down the road off "calling someones bluff" is a big mistake IMO, better to just let it go and get on the the jobs you do win and not worry about the ones you don't
  11. Do you make a habit of lying to your clients??????

Really sorry to here of this tragedy, thoughts to all concerned. But I really dislike this "It inevitable" talk, IT IS NOT!!!!, we can all go home safely at the end of each day, there are perfectly safe ways of carrying out our work, lets all take care and work safe.

  14. Yes they are great if you don't like song birds or the trees they damage and destroy.
  15. I can't see customers signing a form making them responsible, I certainly would not sign such a form if I were having work done.
  16. If you have some longer timber you can "line" the bottom and sides of the timber wagon with that and put the shorter stuff in the centre. Shorter timber will be more labour intensive if cut on a processor, but its still much have a value.
  17. Not good Justin Will it be expensive to recharge mate ????
  18. My 13 year old 66 has always done this and still runs perfectly I really can't see fine, soft dust being a problem.
  19. But the 880 and 660 are both "pro" saws, they are both very solidly built. I find weight for weight the 66 feels more power full, the 88 always feel a bit big and numb to me, so I don't really get your comparison.
  20. I find the success advertising very difficult to quantify. I should ask every customer where they got my number, but usually forget, as you say the majority are word of mouth IME. But then you do need what I call "seed" customers for word to spread. TBH I do a lot of advertising because I'm frightened that without it I'd not get enough work.
