  1. I can never understand why people get so upset about what others earn, using words like "obscene". He is payed out of the revenue his skill's have generated, you could argue that soldiers, politicians, etc, generate no revenue, so they are the ones that are over paid.
  2. Dyslexia, Autism, Asbergers, etc are not actually conditions, they are collections of symptoms, if you have enough of the symptoms you qualify for the label.
  3. I find it very hard to take all this seriously, before the crash Salmond was pointing at Iceland and Ireland, shouting about how Scotland would be like them and how great the Euro was, that looks a bit silly now. Scotland is screaming for independence but they are desperate to get into the EU??? I think many Scots hate the English, they have huge chips on their shoulders and thats what this is all about. This nonsense about Westminster not representing them is just that nonsense, Politicians don't represent their people, I would have more in common with some hill farmer in the Highlands than either of us have with Cameron or Salmond, lets not help these idiots play their silly games.
  4. We would become the RUK, not the FUK, we will be the Remaining United Kingdom, we will not cease as a UK just because Scotland leaves.
  5. Absolutely, but I know a head teacher who does not believe dyslexia exists, it can still be tough to get help.
  6. Without offending anyone, I think thick people can also be dyslexic, I think it can affect people of all intelligence levels.
  7. And easy too shoot I would imagine
  8. This is very true. My younger son has dyslexia, as do I, my elder daughter and my farther. My son has worked hard despite his dyslexia, he achieved 10 A's at GCSE (7 of them A*'s) He is currently studying Maths, Further maths, Physics and Chemistry at A level. At work I am the only dyslexic, my older son who is my apprentice is not dyslexic, his spelling ability is astounding!!!
  9. Surely you are that "poor sole" with your £5k bid???
  10. :confused1:You think Ash and Sycamore are slow growers????????????
  11. I think I good miller will cut the timber in such a way that the tension is removed. I was simply passing on advice from a mill owner who was buying timber from me. He was complaining that inexperienced cutters were ruining Ash by cutting it too short and it splitting.
  12. For what EL costs why risk not having it???????????
  13. If your felling Ash or Sycamore for the saw mill, its very important to leave it in as long a lengths as you can, cut it short and it could well "bang", which would seriously de value the timber.
  14. Presumably it was "nearly" blown over by the very strong winds we have had, IMO that wind exerted far more force than a man climbing it, as the wind was no longer blowing, climbing it was perfectly safe, IMO.
  15. Sugar is cheap, good fat is expensive, and we wonder why the food providers have pushed fat as the evil You see all those "low fat" labeled foods that are full of sugar, they must think most people are stupid, oh wait a minuet……………………...
  16. I would speak to your insurance Co regarding this.
  17. I would not waste my time we either, get a 550xp, much better saw, IMO.
  18. Bits of paper and talk mean nothing, chuck em up a tree, you will soon know if they have got it, it won't take a day, 10 minutes will probably be plenty.
  19. Hired on once more than 10 years ago, to reduce a large Hawthorn hedge, it got parked up at lunch time on the first day and I just climbed the hedge, much faster. Never hired once since or felt the need to hire one.
