if its just to mess about on why not a pit bike? start at 110cc . look at demon or stomp bikes. but all depends on if he wants to start racing too.
  8. Hi everyone, I am looking for employment in pretty much any part of the industry, I currently run my own company, but work isnt frequent enough and i need 5 days a week. I have experience in most areas of tree surgery and forestry. I Completed my National diploma in arb 2 years ago at sparsholt and set up my own company then, my company has competed work for parish councils and English rural housing association. I have also subcontracted for some companies climbing and doing clearance and forestry work. But due too lack of work at the moment i have decided to put my company on hold and work for a larger company. I have nptc Cs units 30,31,38,39, wood chipper and tractor driving. I am not affraid of hard work and quite happy to work in all weather. I havnt done masses of climbing work but am eager to get climbing more again. I can email a cv to anyone who would like one. Thanks in advance Adam Lonsdale
  9. as has been said, go down the legal route, if that fails, all the timber and chip on the drive way and leave it at that. im sure they will pay you soon enough. Hope you manage to get the money out of them. Its really not on.
  10. Dont you just love the general public? i wouldnt let it get to you too much. The people obviously dont know what they are on about and just see it as a reason to moan. Aslong as you got paid and the council are happy with the work then who cares what anyone else says.
  11. you processed all the stuff i cut for you steve? give me a shout if they do drop you a load more big stuff off.
  12. would get cs32. could really start earning some money then as you wont be limited to just small fell stuff and coppicing. unless thats what you just want to do that sort of work.
  13. some amazing looking furniture and wall hangings mate. may have to give some a go and see what comes of it.
  14. from what i understand, if its an agricultural spec unimog its called as a tractor so can be driven on a normal licence, but if its not an ag spec mog you need a hgv licence to drive one. bit of a grey area though.

    Designer Logs

you have to remember that a lot of the guys doing firewood do so as their only means of buisness. Wood ,as you know, isnt cheap to buy in , takes time to process. when i last checked it was around £70 a tonne for cord wood. Say they are running a £20,000 processor to keep up with demand. all costs. so the £80-£120 per cube isnt making a massive profit. I personally sell the wood from my tree surgery company as logs, all good wood that is , no conifer and the like.
