  1. the power sharp thing is strange, a whole new bar and chain design and a sharpening stone that fits on the end. looked good when i saw it demo'd but would rather stick to files as it didnt seem to get the chain really sharp. good idea though. back to the saw, i have used a 346xp with a 13" bar and it was a brilliant saw. one of the only huskies i rate. just because i prefere stihl. If you were interested in a stihl there is a 261 coming out which looks good.
  2. to be honest mate i would get an oregon bar and chain for the saw. i prefere them personally. better value fo money and i can never seem to get stihl chains sharp again. so i have aways bought regon for the reason that i can get them rasor sharp really easily.
  3. if you pinch the chain and lift up , the bottom of the criv link should just about come out of the groove in the bar. but not quite. thats what cs30 told me. hope it helps.
  4. 346xp if you would rather a husky.

    APF pic's

    here are some from yesterday.
  6. the guy at the husqvarna standsaid they had been testing i for 6 months. the saw looked like it had been worked for 6 months too and he said he hadnt had any issues. but then he was on the husky stand.
  7. like i said.... i am deffinatly getting one when they come out. but i do hope they stay the same , if not make an imrovment on the one i used yesterday.
  8. the new one comared to the 338 is a massive imrovement though... i will deffinatly be getting one when they come out.
  9. cuts a lot better than the t435. brilliant little saw. just hope husky keep it the same as the tester model i tried which isnt a production model apparently.
  10. yea my use of it was on the ground, but they were asking if you had your tickets ect...which i suppose means you are a bit safer even if it is a bit of a no no.
  11. i think its a t540?
  12. not sure how much it going to cost, but husky said they are looking to release it by january IF its al up to scratch, if not then it wil be available in april. I am a stihl man through and through aswell but i was realy impresed by this husky. just have to paint part of it white.
  13. I was a little scepticle with these when i saw them being demo'd next to the poles, didnt think much too it, looked much the same as the other husky saws. Went and had a look at husky's stand in the working area and got chating with someone about it and they offered me a go with it. i accepted expecting not a lot from it if im honest. but my god was i suprised by it. i came away with a smile on my face. deffinatly a serious contender for the 200t. Cuts just as fast if not faster, same guts as a 200 and has a lot of fetures which i think set it apart from other top handles. Any one else give the saw a go??
  14. got about 8 cheap siky and husky t shirts. erm.....one of those stein pruning saws and a massiv ammount of kitted added to my wishlist haha. good show. just wish my landie hadnt broken before hand so i could have bough some proper kit.
  15. that stump grinder is mad. my mate has just got a cat 528 skidder. its masssive!
  16. The GTR's are nice, but you have to remeber you are paying ferrari money for a nissan......... as for me.would have to be a wildcat. or this tombraider landy.
  17. that tractor set up is brilliant. glad your getting so far so quickly. hope you are still enjoying the work mate.
  18. good thread this. never thought about the differentces in them really. I use the stihl hs81. i find it brilliant but i have only ever used stihl. may invest in a tanaka for yew hedges ect....
  19. we sell 1 builders bag well filled for £40.00. so your cheap haha
  20. they are brand new mate. if you look on ebay for second hand bikes you will find something you want with a higher spec. second hand bikes tend to sell for a lot less. have a look though mate, where i get my bike stuff from.
  21. more you pay the more you get mate. check out Bicycles | Bikes | Mountain Bikes | Road Bikes | MTB Bikes | Bike Parts | Bike Frames | Road Frames | MTB Frames. their is no end of bikes and bound to be one within your budget.
  22. Mix them mate so the customer has a bit of everything. no arguments then. and i have seen hardwood bags in B&Q going for £7-£8 a bag. find out how many bags you can make out of what you bought and you will want to either sell them at a price to break even with the costs outlayed onthe timber or if you make enough bags do it to make a profit.
  23. thats terrible news mate. I hope everything goes well and you make a quick recovery.
  24. thanks mate.
  25. part f the ground will have to be left for a year as there are 6 leylandii to be feled and ground out first. Thanks for the advice though guys , any one got a contact number?
