  1. thanks mate, has done me proud so far.
  2. they dont look like they are too bad. a lot of the chinease stuff is rubbish but they look fairly well built. i would give them a go.
  3. thanks mate.
  4. here's my 90. year 2000 td5.
  5. you think your dad would be happy with selling a load the same size as last year? not so short of timber this year but i need something to make up some good loads.
  6. strech airs at the moment , but only because i have knackered my hi flex's. i find the strechairs far hotter and not as comfy as the hi flex . however they are much harder waering. i like the tighter fit of the hi flex in comparison too. easier to get your harness on and off without the leg loops getting cought.
  7. i think i have it sorted now. going to go with the ladder and bored. thanks for the offer too chestnut. i will more than likely be in contact with you about timber some point soon if you dad has any for sale? some more birch and sweet chestnut would be great.
  8. i thought of that...but wherre its been let for a couple of years it doesnt look too dense and i dont want to risk damage to me or the tree if the ladder fell.i will have a look at some quick build scaffolding i think. or any other ideas are welcome.
  9. i have got to quote a job for trimming a yew tree in someones garden. the tree has obviously been trimmed into shape many times before and im just going to do it again for the new owners. sooo the question is... does anyone know of a place where i can hire or can anyone let me borrow a bit set of a frame ladders? the tree is approx 30foot. looked at a picker but the access is poor. many thanks adam
  10. that truck is brilliant. wish i could afford one. have to stick with the 90 for the moment though.
  11. thanks a lot mate also reolised there is an ISA forum. sorry for posting in the wrong place.
  12. hi all , just a quick question about ISA membership, i would like to become a member the ISA so that i can further my knowlage and keep up to date with anything new in the industry.also at somepoint gain isa certification for my company. what i would like to know is if it is acceptable to use the 'isa membersip' as an advertising point. say on my vehicle and website? or would tis be frowned upon. i have seen the logo on a few vehicles but never seen if they are certified or just members. many thanks adam.
  13. you have just stopped any doubt about a job u have to do in a few weeks time. havnt ever trimmed a yew tree. these pictures have been a great help. great work too!
  14. Not good news blake. hope they insurance company pays out or you get the equiptment back.
  15. Never told me. was it buisy?
  16. why would they leave it right in your gateway? normally its infront of a farm gate or feild entrance. not a well used driveway. i dont get how people can just do this and drive away. it really is beyond me.
  17. my brother did mine for me, as he is in advertising it helps aswell. its not how much you spend its the key words you put in. as someone said on here about my website, they saw tree surgeon 7 times on the first page. the google add bot thing will see this and rank you higher . also if you put you postcode on the website and it will refine the search to your area. hope this help a little bit.
  18. we came across that last year, the guy said ''he saw someone else doing it so it must be ok' it was rediculous! the wife offered to make us a pie, no money and they didnt even take the stuff out of the back when we found them. it was yew aswell which was a bit of a pain in the neck. hope they dont do it to me.
  19. i am not entierly sure. give them a try though. they always seem to have loads of it.
  20. i have herd good things about the ivecos and the canters. however if you have a god deal with ford for the transit i would go with that, great workhorse and easy to get parts for if it were to go wrong.
  21. thanks mate, unfortuinatly riding has put me out of work for 7 weeks with a broken wrist.
  22. it is indeed buckland rings. changews evertime i go there apart from the big jump haha.

    stihl 200t

all my saws are stihl, and all of them leak a bit of oil, never been a problem or caused them to run differently. however this is after a days work, have you run the saw up and then left it?
