  2. Hi all, I am in need of work , full or part time in the andover area of hampshire. i am willing to travel for the right job. I have had a small ammount of industry climbing experience and plenty of experience with felling and ground work , however i would love to get more into climbing work. I have I have all cs 31,30,38 and 39 , brush wood chipper operations and tractor driving and a National Diploma in Arboriculture. I also have a full UK driving licence. If a CV is required i can email one to you. Many thanks. Adam Lonsdale
  3. ms 260 is a great little saw. perfect for what you want. as for PPE ,i would get stihl high flex as they (in my opinion) are the most cofortable chainsaw trousers on the market. Also haix boots are long lasting. had mine nearly 2 years now and they have been worked in everyday almost. If you are looking to be climbing in the future i would reccomend getting a petzl or simmilar chainsaw helmet as then when you come to the climbing you wont have to spend out on another hemet. hope this helps.
  4. but it says made in germany so it must be real

    Log theft.

really? its rediculous, i hate how people think its ok to just take. we found some people nabbing timber off our stack the other week and their excuse was ' well we saw someone else doing it'. Probly wouldnt have minded if they had asked ? sorry to hear about your dad getting his timber taken. hope you catch the buggers.
  6. usefull bit of kit those. i like the light weight approach too.
  7. that track mobark looks amazing.
  8. yea.. i have looked at little kubota tractors and that. figured 20-25hp is about all the power i would need for about the yard. i shall carry on looking
  9. quick question. what tractor would you arbs reccomend as a little yard tractor, for shifting bags of logs and runnging a splitter. around £2000 mark. not buying one yet just dreaming of kit haha.
  10. i know it will be haha. only had my yard for 3 months or so. and logs have started selling now ( as would be exspected). ahh well looks like i am going to have to talk to a farmer about dead trees haha.
  11. i know. but thought it was worth a try. i will have an ask about some local firms and contacts. just wondered if anyone else could help me out.
  12. hi all, started selling logs this yea and i tihnk i will need to buy in a few tonnes of seasoned timber... i was wondering if anyone could help me out with prices and companies? many thanks adam
  13. yea i have found a couple. got my eye on one close to me but still in 2 minds.
  14. have you any more details on this ? sounds almost too good to be true haha
  15. i would love to have a big buisness in arb. i thought getting a 90 would be good as i could run about in it ( exspencive i know) and also use it for work . I am planning to get a little tractor ( money depending ) next year for a log splitter and the like. thanks for the word of advice everyone. and any reccomendations are still welcome
  16. thanks:001_smile:
  17. where did you find this? looks good. i would quite happily have one.
  18. i have been looking at transits Buzz. if i were to go for one i would get a tipper straight off. its the fact of where chip will go . a transit will get stuck most of the time. but im keeping an open mind.
  19. i dont own a chipper and when i use one its tracked and fits quite nicely in an ifor trailer . i know some one with a nivara and i dont really like it. same with the hilux..... my yard is concrete but the track leading to it is a bit dodgy. and the tip site get very wet and muddy.
  20. i would love a 110 tipper. but all the ones i have seen in relitivly good nick are out of my price range.
  21. mainly domestic. but i will need the off road capabilities for my yard and tip site. big loads and beng able to tow a lot is a must as well. thats why i tought the 90. and 90 being smaller than the other landies it would be easier to manouver with or without a trailer.
  22. Now i know this has come up before and it will open up a tin of worms between the landrover, mog and transit lovers, but , i need a new vehicle. It will be my first proper arb vehicle and i have about £5-6k to spend on it. insurance is a problem though as i am 19. i was looking at maybe a landrover 90 with a tipping trailer as it seems to be right for me at the moment. but my mind is jumping between transits and cabstars etc..... so any help, advise and pointing in the direction of a good vehicle will be appreciated.
