i have just left college and have cs 30,31,38,39 and chipper . i got insured through a company called city insurance for £5million cover. it costs me £440 for the year. hope this helps.

im in the same boat apart from i have no need for work exp. look at sse. they are looking for 135 workers at the moment, rates of pay arent bad. i know line clearence goes against everything your taught at college but its work at the end of the day and they are providing ppe, saws climbing gear ect to each worker. insurance on their vehicles , paying for new tickets and any other driving licences required. worth a look. hope it helps.

i tohugh it was a bit of a dissapointment in comparison to the last one i went to a couple of years back. i think it needed more companies showing, more demos ect. but got some ok deals there. -

sorry to sound stupid , but what is hire in plant insurace?never been asked for it before. never hired a chipper before either ,so i guess its different. always borred a mates. but cant this time as he is using it. im guessing its to cover my back if any damage is done ect....? and how much would ou exspect delivery to be?

nice one. well im about half an hour from southampton in a village called hurtsboutne tarrant. about 10 minutes frm the A34. how much will it cost for a day? i have my chipper ticket and that if you do need to see one atall. and it was meant to say isnt possible to burn. sorry

i know there are adverts around the place for this but i was wondering if anyone knows of a company close to southamton who will deliver a 6" tracked chipper to and adress and also pick it up at the end of the job. the problem is i dont have any means of transproting one at the moment (my car isnt up to it:thumbdown:) i mean all the chip is staying on site and burning is possible. ay prices would be good too. many thanks adam:fisheye:
