  8. i would go for the TW190 tracked, used a tracked 150 before and thought it was a little but underpowered. still a good machine. best way is to get a demo of different machines from the company and find out for yourself. i would also reccomend looking at the jensen tracked machines as they are very good.
  9. hi matt, just spoke to your dad , but its a bit out of my prive range. thanks anyway though.

  15. Hey all, i know this topic comes up frequently, but i didnt want to hijack someone elses thread. im looking for a chip truck. either a tranist single cab tipper or a cabstar. not really interested in anything else. preferably a mk6 transit. can anyone help me out? Got a max budget of around £4500. thanks adam
  16. nene overland maybe? why do you want the puma, isnt it just an engine from a transit?
  17. I would go with the quad chip mate, i was really impressed with it at the apf. not so impressed when i saw the vermeer. plus you could get the quadchip sprayed vermeer yellow ....
  18. as long as the structures are more than 20 feet from a road and no taller than 4 metres you dont need planning permission. as for the trail causing root damage this is a possibility, i used to ride loads and have built my fair share of trails. My advict to you would be not to touch any of the trees, keep the woodland clean and tidy like you said you do , and if any of your shelters are attached to a tree remove them and try to make them free standing. hope this helps , i know how gutting it is when all your hard work get ploughed.
  19. i think its a bad idea, as it potencialy means that private owners will reduce public access ect...... also being privitised could mean that more woodlands are clear felled to make way for housing ect.....just my opinion on it though.
  20. talk to matt butler, im pretty sure he has a predator you can hire on a daily baisis.
  21. Adam

    Stihl 024 or 026

the 026 over the 024 everytime. but i wouldnt run a bar over 15" on one as they are quite sluggish on an 18" bar.
  22. i dont see them as fools, i mean there are cutters and climber who are far better than me, but havnt half the qualifications or nptc tickets i have. but they do their job well. what i do tihnk is mad is that someone with no tickets can wak into a chainsaw shop (if they desire this is) and buy a big saw like and 880 with a four foot bar without question from the seller. i know its down to the shop to give advice and talk him into getting a smaller saw, but if they person buying decides they want it there is nothing stopping them from buing it.
  23. Try Oliver Darby at bartletts in vancouver. i was going to go out last year and work for them , but had a change of circumstance so couldnt. Oliver was a tutor of mine at college and they wanted Qualified arborists for the company. if you commit to 2 years they said they can sort work visas ect....
  24. Yea i am going to get one built, just trying to find someone close to me to do it. there is overland in tadley so i will have a look there and see what they come up with. I know it wont be cheap getting the alluminium sides made up , but it will look a lot better and last a lot lpnger than ply sides ect.....
