    Help!!!

I saw , thanks to all who did stick up for her and have her some genuinely helpful information! As with all forums and threads there is always one keyboard warrior trying to boost their ego! Will get her on the axe and get a picture up for all to see , seemed to get a better response with her using the tools

  3. i just guessed the oregon bar could be a replacment bar....but then i didnt actually read the advert.... does look pretty fake though.
  4. Any silky , personally like the Gomtaro ..
  5. I am stumped by that... looks fake, but then it could be an older model maybe? im not up to date on makita saws.

    Help!!!

Hi all, Just like to thank you all for the advice given to my girl friend (well most of it) .Just thought you would like to see the outcome of advice given And just to clear any doubt, the missus isnt an arborist or forester ...... the picture was taken in jest in my PPE with the saw not running.... the whole point being the oversize saw for an apple tree..... I didnt see the need to give her a lid for a 20 second picture of a saw not running.... Cant believe certain people on this forum! Thanks again to all who helped and i'm very happy with the outcome of your recommendations:thumbup:.
  8. T540xp, brilliant balance and power. As close as you will get to a 200t now in my opinion aswell.
  9. Mine was from the local dealer where the husqvarna was £595inc vat and the echo was £575 inc vat. With such a small price difference I personally am more inclined to buy the saw with the better known name. That is just me Though. If anyone had the echo I would be very willing to try one out and see what they are like!
  10. The side cover just didn't look as durable as the husqvarna or stihl counter parts..... And the abuse the metal clutch case gets in the woods and working in the rail ,I can see the plastic being replaced more.... However I may be wrong! I'm not for a second saying it's a bad saw as I have never used one, and I am seriously concidering it.... Just that was the only down side as on a professional saw you would expect more metal parts. Also there was only £20 between the echo and a 560xp.
  11. Hi all, I know this kind of Post appears too much , but was wondering if someone knows of any hardwood sales for firewood in Hampshire. I'm not looking to buy immediately, But get some contacts for when I do buy wood in. Looking at 18 or 26 tonnes at a time. Thanks Adam
  12. have done one emergency call of a small poplar blocking the tracks near Eastleigh..... Some trees down on the roads , but not seen anything too serious ....
  13. Was looking at the current 60cc echo today, was a brilliant looking saw , all that let it down was a plastic side cover which I could see breaking fairly quickly in the professional environment.... So think I will be opting for a 560xp when I get my new saw...
  14. Have a look at A4 hire hungerford, sure they have a road tow splitter.

    What husky to buy

550xp or the 560xp , I am a stihl man , but very very impressed with both those saws.
  16. i run mine on a 20" everyday in the woods cutting beech..... have had it on an 18" and it was an incredible saw.... so gutsy. i know of someone who uses a 16" on a 660 cutting oak. so should be fine....i never had to change any carb settings on the smaller bars.
  17. steve , try A4 hire in hungerford, hire a 6" timberwolf for about £100 a day..... will drop it off too. hope this helps , or get a pto one for one of your tractors get more chipper for your money.
  18. i had one, just under 100k on the clock, snapped a con rod, new engine needed to fix it. i would steer well away as apparently this is as common problem.... so i have been told.
  19. spend the extra and get the 660. always have the option for a bigger bar then. i run a 660 on a 20" as my main ground saw and will never look back to anything else, but thats just me....
  20. yea was meant to post to another thread......my mind decided to post it on the same thread twice....long week haha. sorry guys.
  21. I used a makita 7900 a few years back, was impressed but not sure what they are like after a few years of abuse. Would get a 372 over the 576 if you can find One still..... However I seriously reccomed a 660 . I'm sure you used Mine didn't you?
  22. Yea deffinatly . Give me a call . Away for the next couple of weeks with work but may have some days off after that . I will give you a buzz mate.
