  1. I'm going to Sweden soon to Shoot some Deer with my Shotgun.Although Shotguns probably don't work on Deer because its illeagle in the UK and there are not Qualifications for it. I'll likely have the first round a #6,then a #4 followed by #2,then if its still running "000 Buck" then a Solid because its likely distant by then.
  2. I just don't buy Stein Stuff any longer,it might be cheap but thats all it is in my experience. Two Climbing Bags Broke. Saw Strops Elastic Breaks in the Cold. Rope Bag Came apart. Throw line Bag was a disaster. Throw Bag Exploded on impact. With that kind of quality I am not prepared to trust my Arteries and Tendons to a Pair of Chainsaw Trousers made by folks that can't get a Bag built right. Its a Bag.A Bag.
  3. Spot on! I discussed Daido with a genuine "Old School Hero" in the states. Mega LOL.
  4. Madill 171 Skyline Yarder. Four guys can sit around the Engine and eat lunch.I worked with one for two years in NZ.
  5. What about if your "Threw" a big top and at the same time a Small Aircraft flew beneath it whilst a Motorcyclist Jumped over it all?
  6. The Euro is and always has been unpopular in Germany with the working Class.Firstly their savings got bashed in the change over and now they see them selves as the Horse thats dragging the Crippled Euro Cart.
  7. Really after a Trap Gun Mick.Shooting Clays is all I plan to do with it.
  8. I've done that to make up Tool Strops before I knew any decent knots.Worked well.
  9. Thanks for that.I have been looking on gunstar but I don't really know good from bad apart from the leading brands like Browning, etc.
  10. No,its an adjustable Comb I want. I have tried more than a few,I am used to shooting sporting guns, not that I have done a hell of alot of Trap shooting anyway.I had a fiddle with a gun that a Sports shop lent the Range, after I adjusted the Comb I shot well with it.But it was a poor quality gun as the Stock Cracked and it shot loose quickly.
  11. Your right its just going to shoot at Clays. Adjustable comb because I "Rifle" the Shotgun when I am shooting and need to break the habit. I like the look of Brownings.I have a A5 at home.
  12. Recently I have gotten into shooting Clays, however my Shotgun is only proofed for Lead and I can only use Steel in regional competitions. So,I am looking for a U/0 with an adjustable comb and have a budget of £2K. There arn't any places here that stock Trap Guns,so I would be heading over to the UK to find one.I realize that shooting a gun is truely its measure but having some idea of what to look for would be nice.
  13. When I worked in a Logging crew,we we working late and as the new boy one of the crew come up to me and tells me to do a sly Oil Change on his Landcruiser. So I dug a wee hole, drained the Sump into it,fited a new filter and went into the Container Truck,Pumped out a Jug of "Delvac HXP" and sorted. On the way back in the Wagon he tells his mate about the Oil Change. "What Delvac?" Asks his mate "Its in the Container" sayes Chas "No thats Bar Lube" replies his mate. *Guys face turns white* Turns out the Fluid Truck filled an empty Diesel Oil Drum with Bar lube.Everyone knew this except me and Chas.So Landcruiser Engines get from Kiangaroa Forest to Taupo using Bar Lube without problems and its always wise to spread the word or use correct lables.
  14. This looks like a bit of me.Shame its sold out. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7CdTAiaLes]Tomorrowland 2011 | official after movie - YouTube[/ame]
  15. Do it. Your sounding like a Petrol Station Owner who dosn't want to sell Petrol to Young People in case they crash.
  16. Your dead right! Here in Norway they have the Money to implement all the EU's ridiculous legislation and a passive populace. Here are two examples One can Drive a 40 Ton Truck with a "C" Class Licence, however one cannot tow a 751KG Trailer with Said Truck or Passenger Car without an "E" Endorsement on your Licence. Its a snip at £2200 to get. Next year all Trailers regardless of weight will have to have an annual inspection. You have all this to look forward to.....
  17. For us Winter is a quieter time of year. We have tried more intensive advertising during this period, however we were just chasing money that people did not want to spend. I think its more rational to budget thoughout the Summer for your predicted quiet spell and perhaps look into alternative income streams such as Selling Firewood or Stealing Scrap for example.
  18. Or Buy big kit, look after it and enjoy doing three times the work in a day as "Mr Transit and Timber Wolf".
  19. My thoughts: 1) Don't do "mates rates" its either Free or at Commercial rates. 2)Just go and price it,quoting takes practice and when practicing anything you have to make mistakes to learn. 3)When you are pricing, don't agonise over anything, very often you first idea or method/cost/viability is the best.Examining each detail often leads to confusion,Tree Work is not an exact Science. I wish you all the best!
  20. I liked this... "By the way, by 5 o’clock the cut up trunk will be converted to logs, which they can sell for £40 a load." Thats great news! I would let them have the Trunk and knock £40 off the Bill.
  21. Haha! Or Bear Grylls is going to Combat Roll onto it and eviscerate a Hedgehog with a Teaspoon (That he made from the Wire in his Parachute Harness)
  22. 15 deg here, this time last year we had 6" of Snow on the Ground.
