  1. Sounds like NZ in the 1980's was like the UK in the 70's.We had only two channels untill 1989,no Mc Donalds in the South island untill then.T.V. came on after mid day and off at 2400.I wore shorts all through my school time, from five untill 16years old!Used to have to fill the wood box after school and light the fire if it had gone out.We used to go Rabbit shooting before school and hide our Rifles in a hollow Poplar tree at the bus stop! Ofcourse we would take the ammo and bolts to School..just to be safe!
  2. Have you seen the one where they overload the crane? It "wheel stands" and the front axel is 15 feet off the ground! I'll try and find it.
  3. Didn't know they exixted! That would be just the ticket for us as there are many rocks in gardens here.
  4. Thats true,a mate back home had one,try even thinking about going hunting...... If we were going out for a shot without it,it would "disappear". Smartest thing to come out of and live in Australia!
  5. My mate sent me a TXT message about this shortly after it happened. She was at the festival and said that the branch just let go in virtually no wind.It was stinking hot that weekend, she is no Arborist and couldn't tell me what kind of Tree it was. http://http://www.balkaninsight.com/en/main/news/11772/
  6. I just think that the dialog will go around in circles. Only one of us was there, yes some of us would have done things differently. But it was a hedge, not a Toddler and at the end of the day Tana has stuck by his decision and presented his argument well. End of. Gay cowboy also concurrs:001_smile:
  7. I really like the old gear Dean,I learned spanners helping Dad in our workshop back home. Can you beleive that its rated for a 9 ton payload here in Norway! Could carry the Mog and chipper on it. Wouldn't though!
  8. quote=Tommy_B;50076]Ha ha!! I nearly fouled myself laughing!!! If the gay cowboy says its a good job...... Gay Cowboy knows its a good job, close the thread or you'll all be draggin brush for him in your Y fronts
  9. We recently purchased this beautiful example of Brittish engineering for the pricely sum of £1000 GBP equivalent.Alloy sided tipping deck, set of chains, spare clutch and its only done 49 000KM! I have many fond memories of riding around with dad in these trucks as a child.
  10. Great to have such a valuable informative entertaing resource at your finger tips! Many happy returns to you all!
  11. Now that is somthing else! I like the "tool" drawers underneath the dog box.
  12. Thats a brilliant retort! I'll have to remember that one!
  13. Could it not be equally possible that "bumps" from lawnmowers caused the wound that was the entry point for the Fungus?Given that a mower is almost a giant blower and whipping up all sorts when its also cutting the grass?
  14. True! I hadn't considered that to be honest.I could mill out a section at the front and weld on another section.Be alot more fabrication,we'll see how that goes.
  15. I'd fell it,its shagged. Pollarding/Cable bracing etc have their place.Use the money saved by not having to maintain it by planting a nice line of Oaks along the rear boundry. I have a loverly 69" Bar for an 088 that hasn't had a meal in a while.
  16. Well I can't wait untill the next installment of..... WWW:STEVEWASTES7MINUTESOFMYLIFE.COM Pillock.
  17. Nice felling onto that log bed mate! Like the blue skies as well.
  18. Looks abit like it tipped sideways off the Stump there Tane?Could you have crown lifted it untill there was enough clear trunk to have felled it through that gateway that I saw in the middle of the screen? Fair enough I wasn't there, what was the reason for not climbing it?
  19. Perhaps try pushing the saw ahead of you or cliping it to your belt.It would mean fewer broken chainbreaks and the lanyard attachment ring on an 020 can let go after a bit of mild abuse. I'm just extending the fuel tank out of the filler side. Not getting into constructing a entire new tank, but thanks for the input.
  20. Four Barrel Holly double pumper with a air ram? I think extending the fuel tank might be a bit of a challange.I cut the top off it tonight and will have to heat bend some plastic to act as the extension before cementing the two bits back together.More of an experiment than a practical advantage. But if it means less more running time then might be worth the bother?Well see. I'll have a look at the rubber boot idea "Arbogrunt".I have to take the handle to bits before I coat it so why not.
  21. I recently aquired a old 020 that I am going to "improve".Mostly just for the fun of it but also to see if what I do to it goes some way to increase the usability of an already great saw for large sectional fells. Planned modifications are: Port exhaust in cylinder Free flow the exhaust Extend the fuel tank Coat the handles with adhesive rubber compound. Extra set of Dogs on the clutch cover "chip chute" on the clutch cover. Long Bar. Anyone else got anysuggestions? I have stripped the saw down and have the metal parts soaking in raw fuel.Ported the Cylinder this eveing and will do the exhaust when all the muck has floated off it.
  22. Top stuff! Ladders have their place.
  23. We have a website and adveritse in a reputable newspaper. The newspaper is for the older folk and the website for the younger generation. However its common for people to Email us enquiries after seeing the Add in the paper.
