  1. Now that is somthing else! I like the "tool" drawers underneath the dog box.
  2. Thats a brilliant retort! I'll have to remember that one!
  3. Could it not be equally possible that "bumps" from lawnmowers caused the wound that was the entry point for the Fungus?Given that a mower is almost a giant blower and whipping up all sorts when its also cutting the grass?
  4. True! I hadn't considered that to be honest.I could mill out a section at the front and weld on another section.Be alot more fabrication,we'll see how that goes.
  5. I'd fell it,its shagged. Pollarding/Cable bracing etc have their place.Use the money saved by not having to maintain it by planting a nice line of Oaks along the rear boundry. I have a loverly 69" Bar for an 088 that hasn't had a meal in a while.
  6. Well I can't wait untill the next installment of..... WWW:STEVEWASTES7MINUTESOFMYLIFE.COM Pillock.
  7. Nice felling onto that log bed mate! Like the blue skies as well.
  8. Looks abit like it tipped sideways off the Stump there Tane?Could you have crown lifted it untill there was enough clear trunk to have felled it through that gateway that I saw in the middle of the screen? Fair enough I wasn't there, what was the reason for not climbing it?
  9. Perhaps try pushing the saw ahead of you or cliping it to your belt.It would mean fewer broken chainbreaks and the lanyard attachment ring on an 020 can let go after a bit of mild abuse. I'm just extending the fuel tank out of the filler side. Not getting into constructing a entire new tank, but thanks for the input.
  10. Four Barrel Holly double pumper with a air ram? I think extending the fuel tank might be a bit of a challange.I cut the top off it tonight and will have to heat bend some plastic to act as the extension before cementing the two bits back together.More of an experiment than a practical advantage. But if it means less more running time then might be worth the bother?Well see. I'll have a look at the rubber boot idea "Arbogrunt".I have to take the handle to bits before I coat it so why not.
  11. I recently aquired a old 020 that I am going to "improve".Mostly just for the fun of it but also to see if what I do to it goes some way to increase the usability of an already great saw for large sectional fells. Planned modifications are: Port exhaust in cylinder Free flow the exhaust Extend the fuel tank Coat the handles with adhesive rubber compound. Extra set of Dogs on the clutch cover "chip chute" on the clutch cover. Long Bar. Anyone else got anysuggestions? I have stripped the saw down and have the metal parts soaking in raw fuel.Ported the Cylinder this eveing and will do the exhaust when all the muck has floated off it.
  12. Top stuff! Ladders have their place.
  13. We have a website and adveritse in a reputable newspaper. The newspaper is for the older folk and the website for the younger generation. However its common for people to Email us enquiries after seeing the Add in the paper.
  14. Fair enough that sharpening a saw in a workshop may result in a better job if the vice is free standing.Otherwise I never seem to get a comfortable angle on one side or the other.
  15. We should get a keg or three, the front mounted chipper on skyhucks mog would hold plenty of ice...
  16. While working in the States:"So Mike, whats your New Zealand name?" And a customer told this to my groundie"I usually don't allow foreigners to work for me,but this is dangerous and he's not American"
  17. How do you find that harness on large dismantle's?I have a treemotion that I found just didn't offer enough back support when hanging a large saw off your belt.I have gone back to my old Komet with detatchable braces for most of my work.Must get a new one, mine is well knackered.
  18. I didn't know there were any Chinook's in NZ mate? Mil-8 was the heaviest lifter when I worked there, did you do some standing stem salvage in B.C?
  19. [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLFAJQ7SLew&feature=related]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLFAJQ7SLew&feature=related[/ame]
  20. Very nice! Is that a 8110? Great truck, looks very professional!
  21. Nice head on that Stag! I prefer the Skull mounts as opposed to the whole head and neck with the skin on! Thanks for sharing:001_smile:
  22. I have had a look around the net but can't find the Farmi dealer in the Uk.I am headding to the Uk tomorrow and would like to collect some bits (hydralic selector end linkage cap) specifically.I am headding to Wales from London and back again. Who is the man to see?
  23. No.Because my missus is so big I need an extension on my 12foot flip line. And anyway I'd not fall that far before I became wedged in a crack.
