  1. totally agree there bud, just didnt have one.
  2. after 2 days of deadwooding large plane trees, im 100% convinced SRT(for access) is the way to go. if i had to footlock all of the trees i would of been knackered and not got all the trees done in the time schedule we had. go the srt.

    decided to attach my srt secur on the back of my motion with it by the way.
  4. just athought- would the multiple anchor system not of worked if you put in a shock absorber in case an anchor split out?, this might stop the domino effect.

  10. big deep cut, 10 stitches to calf muscle when saw swang past whilst clipped to harness, not running at the time. didnt feel it happen but when i saw it, it suddenly became real painful. it then got infected from the oil on the bar. this was with nz trousers that at the time had no rear protection.

    looks like the cord that comes with the cocoon, similar to beeline 10mm but with a red tracer.

  19. a mate of mine used to stick flyers in peoples letterboxes apologising for the noise and dust madeby the works operations that day. he got heaps of work through those things.......
  20. yeah bro its a standard 16strand splice as per the samson instructions. get some spark, a bent coat hanger and its dead easy. if you wanna post the ring up ill splice it for ya..........

  22. ive spliced a big open eye with shock cord inserted where the core was removed. it definetly didnt retrieve.at all. someone on treebuzz suggested making the rubber widget thing on a lathe so im gunna try making one soon. but i have no problems retrieving the cocoon and ring combo mind.

  24. there is an 800yr old kauri that this was done to at http://www.kauri-museum.com. its sat in the middle of the museum and is very impresive
  25. isnt that what youve got mate? my one retrieves better than the webbing one..... i found that if the cocoon gets jammed in the ring it just takes a few flicks to dislodge it and sails through.dont get frustrated and just yank harder
