  1. I still think a spliced alloy ring works better for retrieval. nice pics though mate, explains the problem well.
  2. i just chuck it in the normal wash mate. i do use eco-store organic washing stuff mind. with the crap it comes into contact with at work, im sure a bit of washing powder isnt going to do to much damage. has your new one arrived yet?
  3. Chuck it in the washing mate. heaps of life left in it:001_cool:

  9. $312 for the cocoon!!!!! where from ad? i paid fifty quid and got mine sent from england, heaps cheaper. Have you seen the new prices from Levin? $850 +gst so nearly a grand for the primus. i really really rate the ART stuff but the price is getting silly.

and its the only reason you looked:scared1:
  12. never seen them climb sorry. i reckon the mid line anchor with two butterflys and revolvers is still better but does use two ropes though.
  13. totally agree rupe, its too much hassle but one day it might be needed.might be.
  14. This is one we tried that lets you work off a footlock prussic, kinda. extend the bridge on the harness, so that klemheists are nice and long. footlock up int the tree and then shorten the bridge. can now climb on both klemheists individually. didint really work as well as planned but was something to try. we have too much time on our hands:001_cool:
  15. True but earning is lower here.a mate actually got mine from the dmm shop for 12quid in wales, so that was why i thought they were too expensive here. doesnt such a rip off now so looks like ill be spending some $.
  16. ha! cant believe i didnt think of taking the carabiners off first!! cheers peter:001_cool:
  17. i actually never saw a results table so havent got a clue, he might of told me on sat night but my memory aint too hot about that evening:001_tongue:
  18. i was talking to matt on sat about them, reckons itll be an upto 5-6 week wait to get them in due to xmas postage from europe. think black could suck in summer but have never tried them.
  19. and make sure your footlock line runs through a nice big crotch to make retrieval easier..
  20. Husky dealers will stock them, or will be able to order them in. each to there own, i cant stand the blue stihl ones!
  21. just make sure your footlock prussic bites, then sit in your harness and tie the knots midline below your prussic. gotta tie into both lines remember:thumbup:
  22. Theyve just arrived in nz adam, $439 i think. got some ordered to see what there like in the heat, gotta be better than the stihlnz ones.
  23. hey adam, tie an alpine butterfly or inline fi8 into both lines below your footlock prussic and clip your carabiners/revolvers into those.make sense? You only tie the tail to the rope (on the rg retrieval) over the branch when your about to descend out of the tree, i put them close just for the photo. sorry bout that bud.
  24. $75nz each. but i will be getting at least one more, i struggled to find a use at first but im now seeing more uses for them. great bits of kit.
  25. cus ive only got one mate!!
