    Replace the ascender with a shunt. tie a piece of cord from the shunt eye to the descender and it will auto descend with you. nicked that idea from Tom Dunlap on treebuzz. bloody good idea imo.

  15. ball goes on the rope and the end cap has the throwline threaded into it. the ball then presses into the cap. after you use it, dont put it in your pocket, put it in the cube!!

  17. I lost the little cap that the ball goes on today and was wondering if you can buy them seperately? are they made specifically for ART or will i be able to get them somewhere else? wasnt even a week old:mad1:

    I'D Or Eddy

    i think its Rope Access Descent System. it enables you too ascend and descend on a single line. uses a Handled ascender with apulley on it, foot loop off the ascender and a mechanical device such as a grigri, id or eddy. You slide the ascender up and stand inthe footloop, rope that runs through the ascender then goes to id (attached to harness), and up to the pulley on the ascender to create a 2/1 system. Pull the rope through and then sit on the id. Then slide ascender up and start again. how confusing is that without pictures!!

  21. no its near piha. had to disinfect shoes because of phytophera thats all. was a mission gettin through the bush.

  23. yeah just a rec climb. reckon it was about 35m tall if not a bit more and fat at the bottom, pics dont really do it justice. was a nice day practisin SRT for sure.
