you can get the one piece soles repaired, or you can here anyway. Ive had my klima airs for coming up 5 years (with 2 resoles), ill be glad when my new airstreams turn up but cant fault the klima for durability.

rescue from a footlock line. footlock up to the victim and attach your climbing line to your footlock strop.(via the little dyneema sling).make an alpine butterfly below footlock strop and clip your footlock strop into it. you are now next to the victim and in a climbing system.attach them to you.take them out there system and descend.

Some new little things we went over at the climbing comp. First up is a redi that also has a 3:1 system in it, reallg good for coming back through tight crotches, just uses your footlock strop and a revolver, double pulley or just crabs. Then its a rescue when you have to transfer the victim to you and lift them up. Footlock rescue. Srt set up-15metres in 10secs!!

yeah man.we killed the aussies, nailed my throwline and won the workclimb. we then had another climb where you had to skull a beer, hip thrust into the tree, ring the bell, descend and skull another beer.that was the managers climb. it was really good competing against the aussies in a pure fun event.

yeah bro. but we cleaned up in the transtasman challenge and beat the aussies-was definetly not keen to climb at first though but worked through it.

ITCC rules apparently steve. came as a shock to me but luckily hit my TIP i was aiming for on first throw. that doesnt happen often.

Thanks guys. Think gump won it with paul kenny second and me and josh ormsby in 3rd or 4th. find out results tonight. First ever masters for me, couldnt believe the pressure of walking into the ring and having everyones eyes on you and then only having 5 attempts to install your line. Its Austalia v New Zealand in the transtasman climbing comp today.

tip: climbing at the nz nationals today and made it too the masters. Dont forget your handsaw. its a bummer after youve set your line, srt up in to the crown and then realise!!! was good fun anyway.im stoked. We also done a good climbing and rigging course, will post the pics when i get the chance-some really good little ideas cropped up, such as using a footlock strop as a redirect that has a built in 3.1 system for climbing out of tight crotches, and it only uses carabiners.wicked:001_cool:

70cm. 3 wraps and 2ish braids. tied in xt not vt.

pretty sure its the spectra speed splice, the core dependant one where the outer is just tucked in at the end, if that makes sense.

The new buckingham harness is on treebuzz, The Ergovation. looks very similar to the TM.
