i do the same in tight stems, i cant see how it can be that bad but would look messy if done all the time and would produce weird shaped bits of wood to proccess on large bits of wood

very true!!!! i have taken 'me bird' up with me but she is petrified and i had to pull her up on a pulley system!!!! -

hell yeah!!!! my missus mum bought her house for 22 grand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was 8 yrs ago tho, i got ins. from AIG, not too sure about them........ got 28 days tho but insurity sounds good, with aig you get the same but have to be with them 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont get me wrong, i have 2 rope strops and use them occasionally....... just prefer the wire core

thats why you use a wire core!!!!!!!!! i think rope strops are useless!!! you can flip them and i enjoy the rigidity
