  1. I love the mini excavator! That's alot of Alturna mats!!!!!!!
  2. I like 1/2" Stable Braid for blocks and pulleys, and True Blue or Arbormaster in 1/2" for natural crotch rigging. I have 5/8" Stable Braid I haven't used in a year, so I took it off the truck. It's amazing after using a crane you get a feel for how heavy tree limbs and wood are, and 1/2" rope can take a hell of a piece.
  3. Psh, This little bastard was trying to rip my chipper apart.
  4. Started this job Thursday. Back side got struck by lightning and failed a few days later into the woods. We cleaned that up, then I ran up this other side quickly. Yesterday I went back and blocked it down yesterday (no vid), but had to stop again because I couldn't get the brush out with the mini loader without turning his yard into a mud pit. I'll finish up tonight or tomorrow. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVPT_kVFCkU]YouTube - Lightning Struck Tulip Tree Take Down[/ame]
  5. Reg, I'm currently about to watch, but whiles it's on my mind can I ask you something? How long does it take you to upload the 10 minute video? It just took me over and hour for a 3 minute video.
  6. Unbelievable pictures guys!
  7. Wow that was a big bar. I get exhausted dragging around a 28" bar. BTW, from what I understand your supposed to use the big shot the other way around. Less likely the wack you in the face if the rubbers break, and the line doesn't drag against the body of the BS and possible stop dead and wack you in the head.

    Fence job

Nice job, I used to do a lot of fencing with my brother, when we used to trade hours helping each other. We never did build from scratch though, a lot of custom work, building gates and such, but I can see why you'd surely need to build that on site! Fencing sucks where we live though, more rock than soil. Not sure how they used to farm the land here.

    weird

Yep, tent caterpillar. Nasty little guys.
  10. This one had me nervous for a bit. Not knowing what the lightning really did the inside had me wondering. It went well though. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Iyz4M2GbII]YouTube - Lightning Struck Spruce Take Down[/ame]
  11. Why's that? I know nothing about the inter web. I made it more for this reason... I'm young (24 y/o), some people almost turn their head when I show up on site, I feel like they think I'm incapable by my age making assumptions. Most of my work is referrals, and those people obviously know I'm fully capable and professional, or else their friend never would have gave them my number. For the ones who seem "nervous" or non-believers, now I can say "Check out my website to see our work". As long as it looks professional, and shows what I have done and what I do, I think it's the step in the right direction. I thank the losers in the area, with pick up trucks and Polan Wildthing chainsaws for this stereo type.
  12. Here's another vid, nothing special. Just pulled this Ash over with a GRCS. I just got my website up too, check it out! http://www.ToTheTopTreeExperts.com [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tAmFwy0eBw]YouTube - GRCS Ash Fell[/ame]
  13. I've done three, one cat jumped, so two successful. Here's one from Saturday. Horrible tie in, lovely kitten. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBdXo08PmrI]YouTube - Cat Rescue #3 Holly[/ame]
  14. They were planted too deep, there was branches coming out of the ground. We might pull the stumps, so I won't be surprised if they are also just sitting in their burlap and twine just how they came from the nursery. Add the regular mulch volcano every year and you have even more trouble. We planned on taking down 7, they were crowding the existing Maples, and were suffering. The last 5 looked terrible now that the other's where gone, so out they went. He's got some nice Maples that can flourish better now, everything was over crowded. We pruned about a half dozen others that day.
  15. Awesome! What sorts of trees do you guys recommend for hedge laying?
  16. Thought you guys might enjoy this. Did 12 of these, about 10" on the stump in less than an hour. [ame] [/ame]
  17. I've been a bit busy lately, haven't been able to check in on all my forums. Here's a big oak I dead wooded yesterday at a church, and a bit of clearance for the roof.
  18. Don't know if this is any good for anything.
  19. You guys are silly. About 50' up in a White Pine. Tree was a removal though.
