  1. Motocross is great, here's my ride, 2008 CRF450r. Didn't quiete get to ride it as much as id like this year, but thre is always next.
  2. Nice, I've got a large gap between the top buttons and when the bottem actuall starts....if that makes sense.
  3. I have that exact woodsman, and I sometimes wish the chute was even longer. I was thinking of fabbing an aluminum extension.
  4. 460 with a 28". The amount of times I need to cut a tree that big it does well enough to not have a 660 sitting around.
  5. 2 jobs from the last couple weeks.
  6. I'm with TWM.
  7. Colorado Blue Spruce. 1.5 hrs on site, 15 min. drive each way. Lines where 15+ feet away.
  8. She was old and was "affraid of it falling on the house". She didn't want to hear differently, I told her I hope she has enough money to pay the higher cooling bill now. Can't change some peoples minds.
  9. That limb was horizontal about 6" above those lines by the way.
  10. Here's towards the end of the most beautiful tree I ever cut down. Unfortunately I didn't take before pics for some stupid reason, but this Beech was picture perfect. First pic is the limb started to lift over the line with the GRCS, 2nd pic it vertical, and 3rd pic how we left it till the next day. Had a few hours the next day cutting up and loading wood. Excuse the no hardhats, its the first time I've ever climbed without one. I had left them in the pickup truck at the yard.
  11. I have been keeping a 10' orchard on my truck. I have a 16' orchard that is priceless for reaching the first limbs on some trees.
  12. I was a gymnast for 8 years when I was younger. Slipped a couple lower vertebrae. The only kind of work that kills me is lifting rounds, which is why they make machines! You gotta know what you can do, and don't try what you cant. One of the reasons I quit doing tree work for someone else, and started my own gig, was because of lifting too much. Strong legs and scretching ALOT helps backs tremendously.
  13. I don't know if they are available over there, but I love my Woodsman 730X. Small build 12" model, chips like a dream, and crushes crotches like nothing. The John Deere engine is great on fuel, no complaints really!
  14. I bought a GRCS this week. I had borrowed one on a job I had and since then I cannot see working without one. Haven't de-virginized mine yet, probably next week.

    Ms180

I too use the 170/180 as a chipper trim/groundie saw. It get's the same chain as my 200t, and keeps the big saws sharp instead of letting the groundies run 'em.
  16. Roger is the real deal. I'd work with him anytime, but I think his trees are too tall for a U.S. east coast guy.
  17. I do the occasional flower bed re-edge, landscape install/design, and some fencing with my brother. I won't touch grass though, I hate it.
  18. Finished up today.
  19. Most of the tears are from removing 3foot stubs after I had cut off the main branch. Just a waste of time for me to make an under cut on such a small log. Plus the juices are flowing in the tree so the bark tears off very easily.
  20. Here's one I've been working on...
  21. Nice thought. Looks deep though!
  22. Burn a hole through the end of the climbing line, then put your retrieval ball's rope through that hole. More streamline IMO.
  23. I'll have to contact my computer geek with help. I figured it out once but it's been a while.
