  1. Ha, I do envoy the tools they have. All my work is done with a 4.5" angle grinder, drill, and small welder. If I only had plasma's, english wheel, presses, band saws, I'd be in heaven.
  2. Someone decided to drive on our side of the road one day in that truck, totaled it. Before the insurance company looked at it, we swapped some parts from it onto mine. Grill, bumper, head lights, cd player, and cup holder.
  3. My arb truck.
  4. Thats cool!
  5. Been working on the beak, roller fair lead mount. All that's left is to box in the bottom, and weld on the roller. Then I'll weld it to the plate, then plumb some hydraulics!
  6. Thanks. Here's a tree I climbed today for another company, get it to the ground.
  7. Little more progress. Made a new motor mount, and some misc stuff. It's nice being able to really take your time on a project, gives time for ideas to brew.
  8. Over here in the states it became time to renew my policy. For the last three years, the company I was with has been increasing the price a bit each year. This year, with money not readily available I called and asked what the deal was with the rise. They couldn't really explain it. So I decided to get another quote. I found the same coverage, actually a bit better, for 25%, yes 25% LESS! I can only suggest to shop around if in fact you are curious is you are paying to much.
  9. Nice video!
  10. Nice dude! Glad to see you have some work!
  11. I like tree care or tree experts. I went with Tree Experts. Something about services I just don't like..
  12. It can/will freewheel. 1/4" ball release pin, we drilled through the shaft and coupler on the motor for it.
  13. Hydraulic, a couple posts up you can see the hydraulic motor.
  14. Little progress. Drilled holes for the mounting plate, and mocked up the drum so I can tack it together.
  15. I have 1/8" aluminum on my head board, dents pretty easily from chip. The sides are the same, and they are in perfect shape. A thin sheet of plywood on the front headboard would be perfect, I am going to replace my aluminum sheet because it looks like crap, and I have some street signs I'll cut for the inside to take the brunt of the damage.
  16. Appreciate it .... I have oodles of pics though, from custom to factory. I'm blending my ideas with others.
  17. Ya, they mount to the top of the infeed chute. Woodsman didn't offer one factory when I bought mine, although they do now of course.
  18. Hahaha, I can't help but laugh. Over at the treehouse I get busted on for a strange practice I do. I am anal about keeping my stuff clean, so yep, I regularly wax the chipper. It's a 2006, can you tell? Bike is a 2008 Honda CRF450.
  19. Chipper winch I am working on for my Woodsman.
  20. Glad you got saved. I slid backwards down a hill doing a land clearing job in the ice, it's a scary feeling with 8 tires locked up, sliding backwards, juggling the steering wheel. The chipper jack knifed into a ditch off the side of the road, and almost hitting a large Hickory and destroying the rear of my chipper.
  21. Awesome. I hate ladders, but I'd love to have one of those skinny ladders you guys have. I've never seen them like that over here.
