  1. If they went after dog owners who did this like they go after motorists it would probably kick start the economy.
  2. Thanks for that. Unbelievable the Dealers can't get it right! I wonder how many sales they have lost.
  3. "even on commercials? " Unless 2 dealers are wrong or i'm missing something its £490- Land Rover Used Vehicle Locator Land Rover Used Vehicle Locator
  4. I started to look for a newer Land Rover but decided to keep the old one going as the Road tax had jumped from £220 to £490!
  5. Tell it how it is, refreshingly honest. Let's have more like it is.
  6. If you don't live near a dealer it is a big deal. I have had much better service from FRJones 300miles away than any "local dealer".
  7. Its gone! Was it pulled?
  8. Looks like Anti static packaging. Chips can be damaged by very small voltages.
  9. Looks like Stihl have only communicated/targetted/threatened the big online sellers.
  10. Once upon a time, a few years ago, I had a grand in my pocket and I urgently needed a new replacement Stihl brushcutter to finish a contract I was on. As had often been the case for 20 years, I set off on the 40 mile round trip to the local dealer, this time in the rush hour, who is located of course, in the middle of the city. Having been forced to park on a double yellow as his parking area was now used for storage I went in and waited at the Sales desk. There was nobody there. I knew what model I wanted, I had the cash. After a while I asked the lady at "reception" if there was any Salesman around. She looked up and replied " No, I dont think there is at the moment". Then FR Jones came on the scene and I never ever went there again. I won't buy Stihl again unless it's ONLINE.
  11. 200T on the ground?
  12. I did similar to my trailer but used 1/2inch treated plywood instead mountes inside. Easier to work and cheaper, and it comes off with a couple of bolts per side when not needed.
  13. We inherited creosote coming through the wall. Cured it by studding and plasterboarding it.
  14. Same here, if the new ones worked well there wouldn't be a problem,
  15. I have fixed a punture leak on an oil tank on a pole saw by fusing the plastic with a fine soldering iron. Need to be careful on a petrol tank of course.
  16. I don't think you will regret it. I would have given up hedging without one.
  17. Many thanks to Forest & Arb.Com I received my Spencer Forestry Tape, Stihl cap, keyring and Timberwolf bottle opener today! Well done to Steve for all the organising every year.
  18. Similar situation right through the industry, why do HMRC make it all so complicated?
  19. Doug- the digger Charlie-the chipper Tommy - the tractor The kids love it anyway. I'll get my coat..
  20. Make friends with somebody who has a recently planted woodland and spread it roughly around the trees. It acts as a mulch and compost and it's a good way of recycling it.
  21. I can see the point of keeping the tractor tank topped up to stop condensation but what about the storage tank that you supply it from? Unless that doesn't suffer so much as the fuel doesn't slosh about and get warm and then cool.
  22. Told the wife it was for blind people.
  23. Something to do with GCHQ?
