  13. the paint on a new bar does not help but as a point you very rarely need to clean out the sprocket hard to explain but will try if it gets clogged up on the edge of a big log or stump but a tooth thats near middle of chain and pull it backwards and should reverse a bit the further the better then full rev it and it should go round and clear debris sometimes a couple of goes required hope that makes sense as i know what i mean would of said buy a husky but that would of been childish:blushing:

    beware decending on a single line on a shunt as you say rope size is an issue as 11mm max

    prime example of someone needing an update:blushing: must be a long long long time since you had training in using an 8:confused1: as another point armed forces are excempt from working at height regs

    not out of date but we are recomended to do refreshers within 5 yrs so some employers would say your out of date and need a refresher hope that makes more sence that what he said:001_tt2:
  19. after reading a few posts can someone give sensible reasoning when using a fig 8 we are supposed to back up why not use a STOP | Petzl i have seen loads of guys with an 8 on but none with a stop???????

    chargehand at work did his about 4 weeks ago 4 days driving then test on friday really enjoyed it got his artic test tomorrow as cancelled just before crimbo due to snow

  24. best books for an aspiring climber or an experienced climber imo i have suggested to many to get them read them and you wont regret
