we once had 2 prices for a job 1 was slightly cheaper but the more expensive 1 was VAT registered so after we could claim the vat back the dearer one was cheaper:001_tongue: -

as shrek said but we use proper rope cleaner made by beal available from most arb shops otherwise a little non bio but for me proper rope cleaner has got to be better even if it,s the same stuff cheap enough tbh

i bought the BG86 as soon as it came on the market bg 85 its predecessor vibrated so much we had a 30min limit per day bg 86 has vib mountings and supposably you can use 24hrs a day with no detriment to yourself though seriosly it is far far better and would recomend everyone to upgrade

when you marked the core to cut it off pull it out about a hand width then cut to mark and chamfer the hand width then milk it back in if that makes sence

looks like a good job old rope is harder to splice although the change in diameter looks a bit sharp to me which reduces the strength considerably looks like either no taper or not enough taper but photo,s can be deceptive
