  1. i'm thinking of using a 'lighter' hgv like a nqr or similar and would check out the numbers to make sure it was worthwile.a freind used to have a vw lt46 and that was reclassified to 4.5 tonne
  2. hi guys, i,d like to buy a 7.5 tonner and reduce the carrying capacity of it to maybe 4.5/5 tonnes.giving me a bigger capacity than a 3.5 tonne truck with room for a big tool box etc and a bit more power from the engine and i,m wondering if i can do this and avoid having quarterly inspections and special liscences required. any input appreciated

  7. whats it for? i've got three peices 20 inches in diameter and about 3 feet long that i was saving for bowl blanks.
  8. be carefull when thinning, as grandiflora shade leaves tend to go black and die when exposed to uv. ive got two that i trimm every 2 years and i leave it till just after christmas when its grey and miserable.
  9. you could use a horticultural soap srayed twice, a week apart, for one tree the cost will be pennies. and it doesn,t affect anything but spider mites and aphids.

  13. didn't mean that it would cause any damage,just that its not the best thing to use as a lubricant. grease,oil,wd,gt 85 whatever all attract dust dirt etc graphite powder deos not:001_tt2:
  14. once youve cleaned it and your happy that its dry use graphite powder to lubricate the mechanism. you can get it from some arb suppliers or autobitz etc you need to use a dry lube not a wet one like oil or wd
  15. ive just come back from looking at 2 pops that i pollarded last year in early feb and theyre showing exactly the same symptoms, there is also an exudate indicative of cytospora chrysosperma so the barks dead on the southern facing part of the stem.there are some signs of a second flush of foliage so fingers crossed they in some part will recover.

  22. hello all,i was asked yesterday by a client i was doing a loler inspection for if there was a peice of equipment specifically made to carry a climber on the hook of a crane without contaminating theyre climbing rope any ideas guys and gals?
