  1. evenin,yup can find it on flashearth interesting link thanks. just a paper map realy but i imagine it would be practical to have it linked to a spread sheet to then make later inspections easier
  2. first job back this new year,huge ash stump to grind with my small grinder as acess was a problem.first day freakish bouncing flint through the conservatory,second blew piston ring on stumpy.engine ruined,managed to finish the stump but it owed me a sh&t load of money.

  5. hi all. visited a new client today with loads of veteran trees in a piece of parkland open to the public, its a huge deadwooding project.but first things first i have to do a hazardous tree assesment, so all need to be numbered and mapped and was hoping that with species, number and gps reading someone could help me with mapping there location,i'm sure there's an autocad bolt on for the job but its something i know little about. any sugestions thanks

  8. kim and frans both very impresive bits of kit,i have often thought of doing something similar myself but have allways wondered how to atatch the winch to the bollard as the sheering forces are massive and the 3or 4 little screws the winches come supplied with look pretty weedy. did you see this as a problem and how did you get over it???? many thanks billy
  9. i use very similar set up to you new new forest except i have a petzl treesbee cambium saver and have replaced the small mallion with a 4 way mighty mouse krab works realy well, the only problem it gives me is that the larger ring sometimes crosses my pulley and traps the rope
  10. ive been told that brown sugar mixed with the soft u nderside of a bar of soap applied to a dressing or plaster and left on overnight will draw out any splinter or thorn, luckily not had to try it yet
  11. the planes at bryanston are awsome first limb at fifty feet ,i did my yts there never got to climb them though. went back to look at them last year ,came home with a saw neck, can probably arrange a visit if any ones interested
  12. vduben hi, this my first post , that sounds like text book white finger to me mate but theres plenty you can do about it .get some anti vib gloves ,timberland make some that are ok to climb in and try to avoid to much hedge trimming particularly with power pruners. i get the same symptoms some times and i just try to limit my use of bigger saws and hedge trimmers. good luck with it
