  1. walking through a douglas stand at the weekend and noticed what apears to be bleading canker on the exposed roots its pretty damp in there but have still not seen it on any conifers before?

  4. dean, we got stung a couple of weeks ago,me once on the hand ,groundie three times on the face and five times on the back. as the day went on i could see the swelling going up my arm and by home time it was past my elbow (groundie was fine). when i got home my wife insisted i call the out of hours docs at the hospital,good job too because it was infected and i was about six inches away from four days of intravenous antibiotics,dont take it lightly if its still swelling get it sorted
  5. i just did my assesment on monday,and the assesor said that arbor venture where doing one in the next couple of weeks, should be able to google them easy enough.

  8. hi all, i've been doing my cs41 over the last couple of weeks and one thing that was brought up that hasn't been mentioned yet is a section on the daily r/a for tree hazard inspection, just short and to the point,rootplate, butt ,crown condition ,hangers,deadwood etc
  9. ive got the new htc touch, only had it a couple of days and although i was told it was a gps phone i think i need software to get the lat and long any ideas of software available
  10. anyone out there using theyre mobile to give them a gps position for risk assesments,i cant seem to find any software that isnt just for sat nav and as all i want is a grid ref it seems like a waste of money. cheers, billy

  15. hi guys and gals does anybody know if there is a piece of software available that i can use from a clients first call through quoting,invoicing and then onto vat and tax with a little bit of PAYE thrown in for good measure. does such a thing exist???? ta billy

  17. hey yall,as it says. my sons reminded me about tree house i said i'd build,had aload of poles that ended up as firewood as i struggled to meet demand last winter. any help greatly appreciated as i'm getting the puppy dog look already 6,10 inch 10,14 ft thanks
  18. its over the boundary and so removal is not an option,shame it would save a lot of hassle
  19. my calculations tell me that theres just 200mm in it,no they wont be in the RPA
  20. thanks for your input guys,i have a copy of the standard now, so problem is as follows;scragy topped sikta spruce on neighbours land about 3ft from boundary,my client wants to put foundations about three foot from same boundary so all in all leaving about six ft beetween the two
