1. You got it! The cheap thing that shears torx drives when you whack them! Torque them back up to the correct setting as listing in the book - available as a PDF off of our website.
2. Tidy looking outfit Sean Hughes! A big investment and I wish you all the best for the future....
3. Some office staff off for the next week so the best thing to do is either call me on 07774 282481 or call the factory on 01789 400044 and press 3 for Mac or Jason in the service department. Cheers.
4. This is the section for Forst! Please limit your responses to that subject only. Best etiquette is for Forst/Redwood to respond only.....
5. I clean out the torx drives, get a sizeable punch and bounce a hammer on the top of each one then give it a stout belt with the torx drive in an impact driver. I have bust a tool but hey ho! that is lifes rich tapestry. That is why tools are sold in singles too....
6. What works for you? Off on holiday soon and, usually, Caz and a couple of the kids get hounded! I get bitten a couple of times but nowt compared to them! Best recommendations please - we are off to Crete.
7. Bit of an oxymoron! The discharge chute goes to 360 degrees which violates H&SE! Sorry my friend, don't waste your money. Why does it cost £1,350 when our 9" PTO driven thing is over £10k? I can tell you that to chip 8" effectively, you need a load more than 30hp! Please burn your rubbish rather than loose your money on this!!!!
8. As above!
9. Dan, there is either something mesmerising about the calendar or you got too much time on your hands!
10. I got a used DR unit - 2 smoke! Far better than carrying something and will take 6mm cord! But will throw a bigger 4 stroke at it when it dies! Choices are fairly limited tbh but I would recommend wearing goggles at the least.
11. It would really depend on the type of oil used. We do specify 1000 hrs as said, but we have that if it is that bio stuff we chuck into some machines at customers request. Other oil people might have a different view depending on the grade. Personally, if it is still clear - I might be tempted to leave it.
12. I think our brochure shows it in a transit doorway! I know I've done it - take the discharge end off if rolling up a couple of ramps.
13. I always associate Shibaura with compact tractors and banks mowers.
14.
Hi Stewart, yes, they are all EU homolageted. I have the feeling that you will cause me some grief by trying to source one here again - am I correct? Cheers.

15. I think it is! If you do a lot of domestic stuff or narrow access jobs then that is your circus! I spoke to a guy who does for Network Rail and is looking at one for his operation! I didn't do a great deal of domestic or back yard work but I still got two discs that try to pop out and they are possibly a result of being a brash rat!
16. I thought the same, he looked frustrated..... Nice line in ppe I thought....
17. The 1928 has always been available on a turntable, still is available as an "online" product too!
18. A load of reasons Mr Lawrence! Getting a suitable trailer underneath it, positioning a suitable ring, fitting a different indeed chute, getting it homolageted, pricing it right and then trying to slot it into a very busy production schedule. Plus, the drawing office and the development people still have other things ongoing. One thing which is taking up a stack of time and money is parts supply and delivery to all of our worldwide clients and dealers too! We have been organising a 247 online parts ordering system so that our dealers are able to order, day or night, parts for the current range. The next battle is to get them to use it!
19. The fuel pump on a CM152 is an old fashioned style lift pump with two valves between the two halves. Not uncommon to get a piece of crud stuck in a valve stopping it from sealing properly. Strip it an clean it it, remove the tank and give that a right good swill too. I am mentioned the fuel shut off solenoid which is on the same side as the pump but at the front of the engine, near where the throttle cable goes to. If it is okay, the should be a resounding click off of it when you press the oil pressure override button when you first go to start her up. Thanks for the mention in despatches Ian, yes, I know I am an old bugger who has been around them for a few years!
20. Welcome to the club! Great work, get some pictures up in the Wee Chipper Club as soon as you are able. We have a BNOS 16hp going for £3,750 + vat if anyone is interested?
21. does get up my nose when a thread is de-railed and fun goes into summit else with no end!
22. On a demo of one of those pedestrian grinders we used to do - pushed the reverse button by mistake, got picked up by the gonads by the handle! I had to gently sit down and breathe deep as I curiously felt sick! Was unable to speak for a while.....
23. I wanted to go and have a look to what it is like with a view to mythering a dealer to have a stand there but too busy today and got Lincoln show tomorrow.... Woodfest Wales at the end of the week mind....
24. PeteB

Orec mowers

Same as Etesia and they were pretty awesome! I saw someone demo a walk behind by dropping the deck on a brick! That made a hell of a noise and dust but it survived!
25. I got to back there tomorrow to collect the SafeTrac that was in the arena. Good show but fearfully expensive for a family and £8 a car to park!
