  1. The CLA lost a shed load on Belvoir when that was cancelled a couple of years ago, and I think that, like many shows and sales events are in jeopardy as they are so expensive to exhibit at. So they get in a spiral of exhibitors not attending because buyers not buying, therefore attendance goes down while costs still rise. A trade show with no trade is a meeting in a field.
  2. The moderators can edit out swear words, and other such bad behaviour.......
  3. What an epic match!
  4. I know their Scottish rep. Al Thompson used to work for GreenMech and we are good friends so I'll run it by him next week.
  5. I reckon you scared into buying it! Say hi to to the Tavy team when you see them to!!!!
  6. Yesterday, we had a stand at Scothort at Ingliston, Edinburgh. Twas a pita to get a machine up a ramp and down a corridor to get it on the stand. Took me, Jason from Orange and three others much head scratching and grunting to achieve. The show ended and we borrowed Davy, Henderson's driver and his crane lorry - simple job to get her out again! Straight off the balcony! No sweat.....
  7. Blimey! Should know this but keep forgetting! Glebe Green! RAL Code *"&'!
  8. I sometimes think that they get the first and lie in wait for your new shiny things to get delivered and have a second/3rd go! Hope you have some luck in life....chin up, chest out and be strong!
  9. I come down on the side of, leave it attached, maintain our brakes correctly and replacement dampers are cheap enough should they loose their characteristics!

Where are you from? If you are right desperate I could have a go at sorting it or put a thread up on the machinery section asking to borrow one. How the hell did you bust it!
  11. Glad you like it Stuart, Mac says that a plate was omitted during the assembly stage and that would have stopped all the drop out. I bet he is looking at where to send one as we speak. Perhaps you will let him know....
  12. Gammies, the GreenMech dealer for Angus and Aberdeenshire, are having an open day at the Edzell Airforce Base near to Brechin (DD9 7XH) on Wednesday 23rd September and the following Manufacturers/Suppliers will be present. Kubota, Toro Hayter, Toro Lely, Simon Richard, D W Tomlin, Sisis/Dennis, Greenmech, Logic, Kersten, Honda, Blec, Teagle, Amazone, Schiller, GGM, Trimax, Husqvarna, Stihl, Bomford, Grillo, A M Phillip Truchteck, A M Phillip Spraytechnics, Charterhouse and Ariens/Echo. It will be open from 09:30 to 19:00 and food, hot drinks and shelter will be provided. This is a proper representation of products available to the groundcare, golf, amenity and arboricultural professions so come along and support a local machinery dealer and see what they can offer you. Also meet the manufacturers advisors and sales people and hear what they have to say about their products. Also open to the general public should they be looking for serious garden machinery!
  13. When you say 'shredder ", do you need a shredder or a chipper? One can handle a certain amount of dirty stuff without too much grief while the other is far more efficient with clean material, produces an aestheticaly pleasing product and there are some impressive posts on other threads here. Check the Wee Chipper Club, for a start.
  14. The single rollered machines can be changed to twin rollers. Ask your dealer for a price on the roller, bearing, support plate, motor and a couple of hoses. I would think that it will cost a chunk as the roller is the best part of £300 at a guess.
  15. Try cleaning the filter between the bottom of the engine and the top. Crankcase breather blockages will give black smoke under loaf!
  16. Umph, eat a bigger breakfast and work that off!
  17. Dang!!! You copied my idea! Best check my patent application and add you to the list of supermarket people who are close to infringement too!
  18. I got a half finished MK in the brambles with mid mounted winch and (intended) rear mounted Atlas....wished I had the time, funds and need to finish it off! She has been there some 16 plus years now....
  19. Malta has a draw for me after living there as a kid in the 60's and having one of my honeymoons there! Not blessed with endless beaches but it does have a couple, then there is Peter's Pool etc. Fascinating history with everything from prehistoric temples and cart tracks right upto to second world war. Architecture of Valletta, Mdina and Mosta with their history is worth taking in and you might catch some of the festivals and firework displays too. Worth getting a hire car and doing your own thing! Watch glass blowing as it happens, see some of the life and experience the local driving techniques! go for it! Some people have said that it is cramped, scruffy and dirty - try London was my response!
  20. Not at all Squirrel, you would have to provide some ID and so one so you can be "vetted", and instruction will be given ect, but no ticket is necessary.
  21. Hi Paul, if you are in the West MIDs, ask Orange or Global sales for the hire cost of a chipper for bugetry purposes. They both have GreenMech units available....
  22. I had to jump the GreenMech tow tug today after it has been idle for two weeks. Couldn't tell you why the battery was flat but the man from the AA suggested that I remove all of the charging plugs for phones etc next time I leave it. I put my battery charger on the terminals and over an hour later it was still too dead. He tells me that it was only accepting 10-15 amps when it should be 40+! He then gave us a top tip. Never go to the terminals with the Negative cable - always go the neg earth strap or another point. Apparently, modern systems have a sensor attached that thinks that the input from another source is the level in the battery and doesn't allow the charge. We got it going easy enough and sure enough, without another source, the Alternator was charging at over 40amps. He even thought that modern vehicles have to have a certain battery condition to accept a rolling bump - without this then it hasn't got the beans to energise all systems....
  23. The hits keep on coming!!! Trip back last night and Stewardess asks if we want anything to eat, daughter wants a cold sandwich while others want a hot panini. "Him at the front does the hot food and he will give you the change on the sandwich! 45 mins later he gets down to us and " sorry, very little hot food left and no sandwiches either." " the Panini's are always popular and always go quick......." Hang on.....I understand that there is limited capacity to carry food - but surely you carry a more popular food item and make a start in the middle as well at the front??? So we ordered the food and two turned up 20 mins later and the next two another ten. The poor woman behind who endured the same saga got told that although she had paid, the wasn't any left and she ordered before we did..... shambolic airways....
  24. If you think that they are worn and the "slop" is too excessive, contact one of the new Jensen dealers and they should be able to help with technical advice and spare parts.
  25. The people who pick the team alongside Lancaster will have many things to take into account and they may be party to info that us watchers are unaware of. While I would like to Cip in the team, maybe they have a better view of the fitness, etc of the alternatives. Good luck England, hope you do well....
